Unpopular opinion apparently, but I've been enjoying the coverage this year. I have Max (and am in the U.S.), so that might affect my opinion. I have found it easy to follow the racing, I have been able to watch the lives, and I enjoy the little snippets that they put on YouTube. It's starting to feel as professional as supercross/motorcross and I like it; feels official. My problem is that every time I watch a YouTube highlight, there's a bunch of nostalgia bros in the comments crying about "bring back redbull, we want redbull". I feel like its time...

I'm holding judgement until it's actually finished. Some of the shaping out in the open needs refining but the stuff in the woods looks pretty good to me. Loudenvielle was quality despite very similar criticism.

But wouldn't reporting on Thibaut getting a contract after an alleged sexual assault be fighting the whole boys' club image they are trying to ditch? Thibaut getting a ride among those rumors certainly reeks of a boys' club...

As a fluent French speaker who lived in France for 14 years, I can offer a bit of context. The “gypsy” term is basically used interchangeably with “camper”, not intended as a slur but more of a funny way of describing anybody living out of a van for a while…it obviously gets lost in translation here.

The 3 person podium tradition all of you keep yapping about is dumb. Other sports are other sports. We are not mainstream. Watching the newest ed bull media house from MSA Shandro was line spotting and recording video for sacha earnest, and she’s on a trek now. Maybe she’ll be on TFR next year. About time that team has a female rider.

I think you should know something : Samwell is the team manager of dorval. So I think he knows a thing or two about downhill racing. And Patrice afflalet (Scott team manager) says pretty much the same thing on a french forum.
