On a more serious note; Not sure if this is the place, but I'm getting a little concerned over rider safety (also posted in the Leogang thread). I'm a big fan of the LCQ, I think it's brought a lot of excitement to the weekend. BUT when it's brought in in conjuncture with a concerted effort to speed up tracks (correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems lots of corners are either being removed or sped up). I think the execs ( I believe this also was a thing in the RB days) think high speeds and big jumps...

According to the OTB podcast, Atherton is going to be riding a belt drive bike next season to chase the Gates purse. Also an unnamed Kiwi junior is joining the team. Does Luke Wayman have another year of juniors? There's been a rumor of him joining for a while.

I do remember that last year someone mentioned he'd only really gotten a bike deal from Forbidden and maybe it was just for a year to see how things were going to shake out on both sides. With all the changes coming up, maybe the Synthesis team is no more and haven't announced it yet. Maybe he'll be riding a re-branded Gasgas reg bike for Crankworx and redbull events and their E-bikes day to day? He'd be good pull for them. If Hyper can field athletes on one off bikes for what? 12-15 years now since they snagged Eric Carter...
