9/4/2024 11:16am Anyone else surprised that the French jerseys are legal? They’re very clearly the same fit and at least similar material to the XC jerseys. I don’t have any issues with it, just curious where the UCI actually draws the line.

9/4/2024 11:15am The interviews with riders are awesome, we need more. But what the world cup scene is lacking is 'news coverage' like a reporter who works the hill all day, asking questions, reporting, etc. Then has a 5 minute 'broadcast' that is edited down to a recap of everything that went on in the day (course drama, flat tires, crashes, wild rides, rider comments, etc.). What happened in peoples runs, etc. It shouldn't just be WBD's broadcast during the race days.

8/5/2024 2:18pm My $0.02... Yesterday was a tough day for a lot of people. The absolute most unfortunate event that we could imagine, happened. Rumors spread like wildfire once the course hold went into effect. At one point I think most people thought that the event was going to be canceled. I am thankful that it wasn't. I met Scott at the US Open two years ago and I absolutely know that he would want racing to go on despite what happened. He was a great soul and a true racer. Ironically, my son got to know Scott pretty well the past...

8/5/2024 2:14pm This might should go in a separate thread and is something I was going to bring up after our experiences at nationals. I absolutely love Ride Rock Creek, and I love Neko. I love and acknowledge everything he has done for our sport. So please don't take this as criticism of him or RRC. That being said: What should be the minimum communication/ cell coverage requirements for a large race event? I realize that our sport often takes place in remote locations by nature (especially enduro). As such, providing adequate coverage may be difficult. But when you're trying to coordinate...

8/5/2024 2:13pm It's heart-breaking to have to post news like this. Scott Huntley is the rider who passed away at National DH Champs yesterday. Eastern States Cup and many others have so many great things to say about Scott. He sure looked like a shredder and all-around great human. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends as we all mourn the loss of Scott. It's a sad, sad day for our community. Ride in Peace, Scott.

7/8/2024 8:37am Might have been a case of what the team had available. Max has a reputation for being super-prepared so I can imagine him having more options beyond the standard Fox mud guard that Dak ran.

7/8/2024 6:54am Was curious b/c Dak's statement about covering the helmet ports was VERY specific. Here's a comparison of the 4 top brands. Clearly a design weakness of the Alpinestars DH helmet. Fox & 100% have ports exposed to vertical rain, but are more offset away from the crown. Water would stand to run around the face. TLD zero rain intrusions on the forehead. The Missile Tech ports are closer to the center of the forehead. Funnel shaped. From a frontal view they're even more further down the forehead. Great ventilation as you are moving. But also a bucket for catching oncoming...

7/8/2024 4:30am Surprised that Dak got such a small mudguard. Was personal choice? Did they thought a big mudguard might clogged the tire? Strange decision

7/8/2024 4:25am so Dak did explain that the water was getting into the back of his goggle lens through the top vents , dripping from the visor/extension.. so rolloff/tearoffs were not helping him... shitty situation... It's good to have these races that separate the COMPLETE riders (fantastic technique + mental strength).. You can hear AP nail the situation on track speed before and after the rain on this track. The guys dropping early and late had completely different challenges on this track (icy patches vs vision issues, etc) but you would see the standouts in these conditions in the top 10.. In...

7/8/2024 4:25am It sounds like this race rewarded the very technical but conservative rider. That's usually the riders able who are in the top but might struggle to find this last % that puts you on the podium (guys like Estaque and Thirion, Eleanora). These results might help them to get there in the future but it will be interesting to see how it shakes up on a consistent dry race. AP is a special case: I believe it when he said he was not pushing because he is so good (he was the only one cruising feet up in the steep...

7/8/2024 4:23am The wireless tear off system went haywire more than once so people went back to mechanical. I have a feeling it would work a lot better now w/ more compact batteries & advances in signal technology. I would 100% use a RollOff system that had a button/clicker on the bars.
