smelly Liked a reply to forum topic Carbon rims On enduro style bike, general consensus?

Y’all are absurd with your warranty demands. I’ve destroyed a lot of wheels in my 25+ years of riding. It’s NEVER been the wheel’s fault. Worked in shops for a long time - can count on one hand the number of times a whee was destroyed because of a rim defect. Was a carbon wheel holdout until this year, got some WA1s. Third ride out, got off line at warp speed and double flatted, multiple holes in both tires, needed 6 plugs and a bacon strip to patch it. Surely would have at least flat spotted alloy wheels, but not...

Why all of a sudden is it despicable that Specialized sell bikes online? I'm sure they're not the only ones... In the UK if you buy from them, they can ship it to your door, or you can "click and collect" it from your dealer. You can however only click and collect it if it is instock at their warehouse or at the dealer itself. If it's not in stock at the warehouse Specialized have select dealers (mostly their owned ones) can also ship it to you too. The owned retail shops also regularly move stock between them (via TNT/Fedex)...

That's just how it goes into almost any industry. In the beginning it feels forced upon you, afterwards you get used to it, and after a while it feels like a pre-historic relic if you still spot one in the wild. Manual car crank windows worked fine for decades, and were a lot cheaper to replace than the motorized ones. However, if you buy a new car, you don't get the option anymore, and not a lot will want to go back. also all innovation comes in steps. You are either a early adopter and buy a minidisc player that...

Is someone pulling your leg or are you pulling ours? Edit: Not a lot surprises me any more, but RS internals? That seems pretty out there, especially considering the general praise for Öhlins's forks. Which internals specifically, though?

I really like the current AXS post head setup. When I service my AXS seatposts, I know that when I put the saddle back on, they will be at exactly the same angle that they were at before I removed the saddle.

Wild to me sometimes how "matter of fact statements" come about based on very little (im making an assumption here) Bryn Atkinson (DH athlete) has one of the coolest press videos for the Norco Optic. Matt Hunter (freeride athlete) has a great Spesh video on the old Stumpy) Almost makes sense to do some filmimg with Loic on the new Stumpy, to highlight its descending abilities (especially if there are plans to shelve the EVO model). Not sure it makes any more sense for Bruni to film on the Enduro than the Stumpy. Bruni could be filming for a segment...

https://www.pinkbike.com/news/sram-patent-shows-smarter-built-in-shockw… I knew this one coming, it felt like Shockwiz and Flight Attendant were both Proof of Concept products before they would be combined and integrated into suspension products. Going out on a limb here...I could see the future of this tied to your Garmin/GPS computer, the same way I download Routes from RidewithGPS or Trail Forks and load them on my Garmin before I ride new trail systems, you'll also be able to download settings/tune for a specific trail. In the AXS app, you'll program in your height, weight, frame, wheel size, tires, and riding style. The ShockWiz will...

Maybe something’s lost in translation, but you’re sounding pretty much like a serious douchebag. Hopefully you sober up in the morning and edit your post.

Buddy, lots of people on here have done lots of cool stuff, are doing lots of cool stuff, know many amazing people and are also very involved in the bike industry at many different levels or are those people that are racing. They just don't use it to try to boost and make it seems like their comments or opinions matter more than others. If you want to be taken seriously I'd chill and show some respect to all the people you name dropped enough not to use them to try and elevate yourself above someone else.

i'm pretty blown away to have to say this to grown adults (i assume) in our forum, but every time someone trolls or says something you don't like, quoting it and explaining why it's lame/unsavory/kooky/political only makes the thing you dislike live on for days. in the history of the internet, has anyone ever changed their mind and said "you're right," after being challenged/critiqued/criticized/called out in a forum? not that i'm aware of. the garbage has been moderated for now. if you don't like something said here, use the thumbs down, move on, watch it die and it'll be forgotten...

1) What calendar? Also asking for a friend. 2) Did you all pick up that Charlie Murray (Chaz Maz) has only been seriously riding bikes for 4 years? So crazy. 3) Eddie is in that video because he (and Pivot) basically supported Charlie in his first year racing abroad before he got his deal with Specialized.
