I recently switched from Deity Megattacks to Ergon GXR (large) and am surprisingly happy. The ergonomic shape of the Ergons made me realize how much I don't really like a round grip, no matter the diameter and they also feel much larger than the 34mm spec would lead you to believe. ^ With that being said, the Ergons also made me realize how much I hate installing "slip" on grips... they're worth it though.

Used to be a Meaty Paws guy, but the last few years I've been using the Sensus Emil slip on grips. They're kind of in between a regular grip and a Meaty Paw, but also softer than a lock on grip. Slip on grips are a bit more of a faff getting on/off, but I'm a big fan.

Jacks announcement took a few of us by surprise last night. It's sad that one of the best riders in the world, arguably the most charismatic too is unable to secure a ride for next year and in some ways, coerced into retirement. I hope he finds a role somewhere, he would be a fantastic "face" of a company. The content would be top level. Jack is majorly responsible for MTB in Australia spreading so far, his influence on youngsters and his personal approach to grassroots racing that I have seen first hand is commendable. 4/3/2026 12:23pm The best aspect of Wrangler ATG for me is that they double as office pants. They pill eventually but I have 2 pairs of "Caviar" that are lasting very good.

I heard from someone today that the epic will be 32 but the epic Evo will remain 29. They hinted that the third will be the new demo

For all the discussion on what Specialized is releasing - Reading on other forums, it seems like it is not a 130/140 trailbike (which I was hoping for), but a new, lighter, even more race focused Epic, without in-frame storage etc. Only 2 years since the Epic 8 dropped, so it seems a bit early. But they are probably fast-tracking the drop for this new "epic 9" so they dont have to wait a year longer when they inevitably drop a 32" XC bike next time around.
