Spesh will never get any of my money for the same reason, as well as the Mike's Bikes thing and the way they've treated employees at the LBS's they've bought. Hayes (brakes), Bike Yoke (droppers) have been amazing and I'll continue to buy their stuff (Bike Yoke in particular because of serviceability and keeping their stuff backwards-compatible).

has it been discussed in tech rumors a bit? idea that yeti's carbon DH frame isn't a huge cost issue these days as they prob used a less-expensive aluminum mold to make a small batch of frames? cutting production molds (steel) are where it gets expensive.

6D helmets are popular in the moto world, supposedly one of the safest helmets out there but who knows what really works. Having briefly owned a 100% aircraft i have a hard time thinking the World Cup riders in them feel safe wearing them. Maybe a good enduro helmet but they’re so light and pretty uncomfortable unless you have a tall, narrow head. With the speeds we’re getting to maybe we’ll start seeing more wc racers switching to moto helmets.
