10/3/2025 7:46am Respectfully, I don’t agree with your final statement. I have been an avid rider (all types) for close to 30 years. I have owned (I hate to admit this) well over 100 bikes. I feel like the mountain bike companies and traditional industry in particular doesn’t speak to me at all. I feel like they completely forgotten/ignore people like me...

10/2/2025 7:34am You can tell when Asa, Tyler, or Oli are coming because every single line spotter pulls out their phone. During this B practice, Asa has been by 4 times and was on a different line every time.

9/27/2025 7:20pm Dak is such a boss! He is so genuinely him. Such a beacon in an already awesome sport.

9/26/2025 2:48pm I think this just an artifact of Dak being the only Mondraker rider at the US Open. He probably doesn't mind racing the 'privateer' life for one event to be able to have his own personal van and dog with him for the remaining World Cup rounds. I'm sure he'll be back with the team in New York. I mean...

9/24/2025 11:50am I feel like this is the most appropriate thread for this info, unless we need a new forum topic. US Customs is stopping the entry of all parts manufactured by Giant in Taiwan over forced labor claims. This has a huge impact on the industry beyond Giant alone. Knowing this administration, it appears to be a lever they are pulling against Taiwan and this could expand to other manufacturers. https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/national-media-release/cbp-issues-withhold…

9/23/2025 12:18pm I've been to some of the past Rampage sites, and they were just on BLM land. One of the reasons there is such a limit on building permanent wood structures is because it's on BLM land, I believe. And, honestly, if you know the shit that goes down on BLM land in Utah... Rampage isn't really that impactful, hah.

9/18/2025 12:05pm I concur that it likely has to stay in Utah. And I also agree if you look more broadly there is an ecological impact to consider. If someone in the know balances the equations on both those points and determines old sites are the only viable option, then maybe at some point they also need to consider that Rampage has...

9/18/2025 10:02am I am the biggest Rampage fan. I attended my first one in person in 2003 and even helped dig Shandro’s second place line a little. I’ve been to multiple others since. I generally even think the judging has been correct every single year. I also don’t care that the lines are highly manicured now or that tricks (if done up...

9/13/2025 4:51pm Hard to argue with this—and I was a copywriter in the bike world. I appreciate good writing, but not enough to buy a bike I don’t want.

9/13/2025 1:33pm Does anyone read the marketing copy for bikes at all? If I were looking at a bike company I knew nothing about, I’d filter model by desired travel, scan photos to look at suspension design, and then go straight to the geometry section. I feel like this is the case for most experienced riders. Completely naive (I mean that in...

9/11/2025 5:37pm There isn’t really a jr available that’s an upgrade though. Asa is with frameworks for a couple more years, Max C isn’t going to let the Alran brothers walk after they’ve been coming up through the Commencal program. I imagine Yeti will keep Tyler Waite and could afford him with Cami retiring. That really just leaves Oli Clark and he’s with MS and no sign he’s going elsewhere. Those 5 have been the most consistent at showing they will step and be a threat to qualify next year. There’s been glimpses from other juniors throughout the season but nobody else...

9/11/2025 2:51pm I think we’re in general agreement. And I was just using Dak as one example. I guess I’m just trying to make a general argument for why a team might keep a top 10-20 established rider over gambling on a wicked fast junior.
Buckets Up Added a reply to 2026 Team Rumors
9/11/2025 2:24pm This is where the secondary ‘intangibles’ of being a ‘professional’ come in. Dak also has personality, a story, and some magnetism. Things that make him a good ambassador for your company beyond just results. Sure, some of the young guns are wicked fast, but outside of Asa, we really know nothing about them or who they are. The Alran’s aren’t...

9/10/2025 6:52pm I don’t believe that. I know every person on Joe Breeden’s World Cup Intense team (all international and non US based). The only thing I know about the US Intense team is Dante Silva.

9/10/2025 9:27am I think everyone should have a favorite rider. And they can have that rider for whatever reason their heart fancies. I also feel like there is a distinct difference between rooting for your guy/gal to win (encouraged) vs. rooting for someone who isn’t your person to lose (for any reason). Some previous comments felt like they jumped that rubicon.
