I doubt it. From what I figured out when I lived in Germany is that ski resorts in Europe can be owned and operated by a blend of local town, regional committees and private companies (usually running the actual lifts). And the distance of culture, language etc.. between say Austria and France make large company ownership less likely

Although we feel like the companies with downhill teams have a responsibility to the sport - as if they were an NFL team or premiere league team where the actual sport / team is their business - bike companies are only in business of selling bikes, and the bike team is simply a marketing opportunity/ expense. I wish this were not the case. The business is not racing (for a bike company), it’s just selling rolling widgets.

Yeah. He has great content and personality. It really is a shame that no one has figured-out how to cover enduro in an interesting way. Most gravity bikes sold are enduro bikes, and, I'd guess that on a local level, enduro racing is still popular. But translating World Cup Enduro to a television audience has just never been done well. I think my initial comment about "looking for a sport" may have sounded unkind. The Moir curse continues Hope he lands on his feet, he is a fantastic ambassador for the sport to the kids of Australia and in all my dealings with him over the years one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet. What you see in the videos is him in reality, a true legend.

Sad update, knowing its not sorted yet (and how messy the end obviously would have been). Would love for him to do a random enduro+DH program akin to Rude and Melamed's end of season but... Understand how impractical that is. Especially traveling from where he is. But glad he's been restin up and getting some paddle outs. No better place to reset the mind then waiting on Poseidon to send you a set...

I believe Moir can definitely be a valuable asset for a brand, even if enduro is on the decline. I'm not big into bike YouTube, but I like to watch guys like Wyn, MoiMoi and Sam Pilgrim cause there is always stoke and the commentary is fun—I don't care for the faffing around that some other content creators put out. I think they're good for their brands.
