I went through 2 XTR cassettes in less than 200 miles each. The ramp teeth just wore down to nubs, all the rest looked fine. Drivetrain was setup by a shop. Shimano warrantied them both times. The guy I was dealing with said it was really strange, but didn't complain. Sold the setup after that and went back to X01 AXS, which is at about 2600 miles and still fine.

Just so people know, the “Yoshi Kote” is NOT the cool bronze color seen in this test (as well as seen on their website and on other media outlets). Was hoping this would match the Deity Bronze color way, but it’s much more of a grey/brown/earth tone vibe. They told me it was because the bronze anodizing seen in the preproduction samples didn’t hold up over time so they switched it

ngl had to unfollow him and Aston because of the whole „this and only this is the best and everything else is garbage“ Can the bike industry do better? Sure, but I don’t want to be bombarded all the time by how shit everything is, I’ve got the normal news for that. also, Genius is up on binkpike. As expected from Scott there are a lot of cables, and everything is internal. 3rd'd. Sometimes, I feel like the dual compound actually grips a bit better too. Obviously, 3c maxx grip and maxx terra are going to grip better if they have a surface to dig into... but once things turn to silt, kitty litter or deep loose over hard, the DC treads/lugs seem to penetrate that stuff better to dig in. Maybe it's me just justifying running them so that I get more then 3-4 weeks out of a rear tire...

Agree- not sure why they don't make a few more options. I wish they made an Aggressor with DH casing for a faster rolling tire. Specialized Eliminator Grid Gravity T7/T9 is another good option for a heavy duty but still pedalable rear tire.
