With zero press or fanfare (that I noticed), this new (v4) AXS pod showed up on Sram's website. Has anyone touched it yet? I'm a fan of the Rocker Paddle (v2), I was was kinda ambivilent toward v1 which I think maybe this is trying to emulate. I don't get along with the first pods (v3). https://www.sram.com/en/sram/models/ec-axs-podr-c1

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4m30HqtdLk/?igsh=MzY1NDJmNzMyNQ== best angle I’ve seen of it. Watching it live the case didn’t seem that bad, however from this angle, maybe not every bike would have snapped, but it was a pretty big impact.

Bernard Kerr just snapped the front off of his prototype Pivot at Crankworks. I couldn't see if it was the lug or the carbon.

The Mezzer weighs the same as the Fox 36, with the rigidity of the F38. That's what I'd go with.

It's a conundrum for sure. You really have to decide what your prioritys are. I have moved from a Fox 38, Zeb and Fox 40 to a Fox 36, RXF 36 and DH38. as a 185lb former powerlifter, I don't consider myself a light weight, however, I have worked for years on becoming a rider who uses more finesse and less brute strength on the bike. If you are riding with attitude and pushing the edge of survival, the larger chassis forks certainly offer more confidence. Personally, if I am riding clean and smart, I can use the extra traction...

Nigel Page posting what would have been a new reactor frame. I wonder what will happen to all their tooling as it sounds like Mike Ashley only bought the name and I.P. Could a smaller brand swoop in and buy up the tooling from the liquidator?

It’s not fair to the Athertons to assume that that’s their view. Given the super customisable nature of their bikes it’s no surprise they don’t have public graphs. However they do quite openly offer the option for you “to speak to an expert” if you require further information. The geometry and sizing measurements are all there on their tech sheets so it shouldn’t be that hard to plug those numbers in and get a basic idea. And isn’t that all the graphs do anyway!

Just got back from a day at Dyfi. This is the production-ready model, two were being tested by journalists in preparation for the official launch on the 12th. In person it’s absolutely striking and looks like nothing else out there. If the frame only price is reasonable then I’ve never been more tempted by a bike. (If anyone from Atherton bikes wants me to remove the photo I’m happy to, but as it’s been seen by upwards of 100 people today I’m sure it’s fine).
