I have not had issues with it. These Spesh bottom cups get really weird with the concentric thing for geo adjust. I like the thick red Maxima assembly grease for stuff like this.

This is the best way to check for creaks between the crown and steerer tube. Creaks can come from between each stanchion and the crown, but you need to drop the lowers to isolate and flex those. Best of luck!

A genie shock with all the bands rides very similar to this shock with no volume spacers. I'm a pretty big dude (245#) and I like the bike to feel pretty poppy, so the Float X with a 0.4 volume spacer works for me. Frame is not very progressive as it relies on the Genie shock. I did retune the damper, I think it came CL, RM and I pushed it to CM, and a slightly firmer rebound, not quite RF. Works mint!

If it always looks dirty then you have to clean it less. Something about black socks that never get dirty..

It's hard to say. I don't see that many SJ15s out on the trails. It rides really well, but I can understand if people would rather buy a heavily discounted SJ Evo.
