Is this an 75% e-bike thread and forum now? Time to say 75% goodbye? Asking for a friend.

I can confirm the REEB SST works quite well with a coil. Did 40+ miles and 9500ft descending last weekend. It would benefit from 440+ stays but overall it rips!

It looks even better in person! Never ridden a Spot myself but I like what they’re doing. A buddy of mine is a big fan, he’s got the Mayhem, their hardtail, and gravel bike.

GG had a terrible implementation of cable guides, the frame was too heavy for the short travel stuff, and a lot of us just wanted a metal bike from them. When value added brands try to go bougie upscale it often ends in tears.

New SC Tallboy dropping May 19. 4bar, more travel, lighter. Seems like to align with 5010.

Thanks! Apparently superboost was to accommodate the chainline of the dual chain solution. My best guess was that RMU wanted to make a bike, probably didn't know how to, so they bought a full suspension solution from DW. I'm not going to pretend I know that much about suspension kinematics and such so I won't comment on the solution itself. Now...of the bike brands that ran superboost : Pivot(doing well, still on 157), Evil(back to 148 boost for most bikes), Knolly (basically chap 11 bankruptcy), Devinci (mostly back to 148 boost except the Chainsaw), WAO doesn't make bikes anymore (the...

750d already existed in the same French sizing system that gave us 650b 700c etc: "In the French system, the first number is the nominal outside diameter in mm, followed by a letter code for the width: "A" is narrow, "D" is wide. The letter codes no longer correspond to the tire width, since narrow tires are often made for rim sizes that originally took wide tires; for example, 700 C was originally a wide size, but now is available in very narrow widths, with actual outside diameters as small as 660 mm." https://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html It was supposed to be replaced...

I've heard about that. It's Enduro that's willing to give up its right to vote in order to disappear and be protected from the horrors happening to other racing genres. Right?

Because MTB'ers still associate Suntour with Entry level bikes. I once Heard someone they'll never ride anything made by Suntour... he had DVO on his bike... 😵

Flame me if you’d like, but 32” wheels is one of the few things that has me excited for a new bike. There are so many amazing full suspension bikes now ,and geometry, for whatever discipline, have pretty much leveled out. As someone that rides my Singlespeed as much or more than my FS, I’m excited to build up a rigid Singlespeed 32er. My local trails are fairly mellow and as I get older I appreciate momentum and keeping a higher average pace over “shredding the gnar!”

I have been very intrigued by their frames for awhile now but still can’t quite bite. If only I could get one with better bottle placement. Also feel free to downvote, but I would feel inclined to remove what I view to be their cringey headtube badge too. Classic it may be, but I still can’t take it seriously

And the 2025 "Simplicity is the ultimate innovation award" goes to Transmission 90 mechanical and XT M8100 for their outstanding lack of electronic component complication, perfectly acceptable shifting performance and general affordability. We thank you for being as good as anyone ever would need.
