i have no problem to hard things. Isay hard things. Hard things are where the solutions are. Where they arent is posting black squares, flags etc. and pretending we just did anything of substance. Generally, Im a conservative\ libertarian on most things ,but i find myself disagreeing with my normal political allies on this topic. Im sick of it,Im sick of the finger pointing and the blame game. I too have felt some of the things you are worried about. One thing I suggest in this quandary is education. We CAN get somewhere. We dont have to get everywhere all at once. How do you eat an elephant??.. Uniform, national policing standards that eliminate some of these very dangerous holds. Bust up the unions that keep these cops from ever being charged and investigated. Thats where alot of these cases get shut down. Stop self policing, where one police dept 'investigates" another dept for crimes alleged.No more internal investigations De militarize them, they don't need tanks and that bs. Just because Angela Davis said something, dosent make it true. You probably shouldnt judge my intentions once ive already clearly stated them by some mythical purity standard. That would suggest that YOU arent really that serious about "inclusion " or "diversity". ..A very "SJW" practice. I never seperated any realms. I said pick something concrete in THIS realm and make real change. Then move on to the next thing. Diversity isnt just about diversity of color,its diversity of thought. Acceptance despite our diversity is the answer,period.

The contact is due to the fact that the piggyback is at 90deg to normal on the JadeX. The vast majority of shocks will work just fine including the Fox X2 that comes with the bike. From the sounds of it, the Topaz2 may be worse than the JadeX. There's really only a couple mm left in the stroke, I'm well into the bumper when the piggy contacts the frame and there's only a couple mm left of the seatube/rocker clearance. Anyway, big props to @plumpssack for pointing this out to me. Probably a good idea to find a solution...

Took the spring off, the piggy will contact the frame at full bottom. I have to get a good way into the bumper for that to happen though. I'll post pics.

Yikes, thanks for the heads up! I've only had a 5 or 6 rides so far, with some decent compressions and haven't noticed any issues. Will go take the spring out and do a clearance check asap. Would be a shame, the JadeX is a neat shock on this bike.

@abeck are you sure the piggy back of the shock doesnt collide with the downtube before using full travel? I dented my Topaz 2 piggy back bunny hopping in the parking lot on my Titan after I finished my build... You should check that out by compressing the shock with the spring removed.

Very cool video guys. The Runt is a solid product for sure. However, I would respectfully disagree with a lot of the assertions made in this particular post: What we would say is that for a rear shock, the coil is a really great option. Rear air shocks require tight seals to be able to handle the air pressure, especially at full compression. This in turn creates at lot of extra friction on the entire system. Short travel low front end (120mm fork) bikes doesnt neccesaraly "need" very steep st angles. Just look at xc/marathon bikes, i dont see to many riders complaining allot about their geo.This has a much better sta than the old following and i think it should compliment this type of bike pretty well !
