12/18/2018 10:56am Yup, plus about 1kg each for the tires. Throw in a dropper and weigh it with pedals and I think it adds up.

10/25/2018 3:54pm I'm in love. My fork is a low single pivot Kona, this is a DW Link Pivot. Wheel path is no comparison. Progressive damping, progressive spring curve, no lower leg service, bottoming control and so much more. Steering we've never experienced. No more need to over fork the bike.

9/7/2018 3:03pm Super fun bike and one of the best lookers I've seen in a while. Those straight on pics don't do justice to what this bad boy looks like in person. Will be high on my list if I get the green light for a new whip.

7/20/2018 9:49am Interesting article and clearly touches on some big issues facing both mountain bikers, but also web content creators. First, there clearly are potential issues with E-bikes and traditional bikes sharing trails. The trickiest area is bidirectional singletrack, especially when one person is climbing and the other descending. At times on twisty/windy trails, it can be difficult to see the climbing person until the last minute. With E-bikes motoring up, the potential for collisions and other mishaps seems more likely. This may be why some regions have allowed E-mountain bikes on fireroads and dual tracks, but not on bi-directional singletrack. E-bikes...

7/20/2018 9:48am I love it.... no problem with using a chairlift to get up Mammoth, but as soon as people want to use e-bikes on e-bike approved trails people lose their goddamned minds. Nothing like people telling other people how they should be able to enjoy their own mountain bike experience on land where it is ok to do so. Way to embrace personal freedom everyone. Well done. Also, when arguing against this point, please try not to use slippery slope fallacies, missing the point fallacies, and false cause fallacies because that's all anti-ebike people seem to use.

7/20/2018 9:17am That's the bikes actual weight. (Weight including rider). Don't know why people insist on weighing their bike only, that number has no real-world use.

7/20/2018 9:09am Thanks for sharing Vital. I don't own an e-bike and don't really plan on owning one in the near future, but I would love a day out at Mammoth tooling around on one this capable. I'll have to plan in a demo/rental day on my next trip up there.

7/20/2018 9:00am If you read the article it clearly states that ebikes are allowed on the trails. So your argument is invalid. Anyway, enough troll feeding. Good luck in your black and white world.

7/20/2018 8:59am Dude, get over it already. Why should riding bikes off road be so exclusive? The way you do it isn't the only way it can be done

7/20/2018 8:59am @casman No disrespect but I actually don't think you are. You are thinking about a current circumstance in your own area and you are not considering that there a trails right around the world where there are no issues for riding ebikes and these will increase participation, advocacy and more trail creation.

10/17/2017 12:33pm Yeah, there is a definitely a big difference in how the bike feels with the coil shock, that's for sure. My settings (on the air shock, add 2-3 clicks of HSC on the coil shock): LSC 14 from closed HSC 15 from closed (12 from closed on the coil) LSR 12 clicks from closed HSR 12 clicks from closed I'm 190lbs, I run 190 psi in the air shock, with 2 or 3 of the "tokens" (inserts). On the coil shock, a 425lbs spring with 3 turns of preload (I think the 425 only exists in 3.0 length, it was...

10/17/2017 11:19am I don't think it was meant in any derogatory context...at all. From dictionary.com - verb (used without object), niggled, niggling. 1. to criticize, especially constantly or repeatedly, in a peevish or petty way; carp: to niggle about the fine points of interpretation; preferring to niggle rather than take steps to correct a situation. 2. to spend too much time and effort on inconsequential details: It's difficult to be meticulous and not niggle. 3. to work ineffectively; trifle: to niggle with an uninteresting task.

I've been flogging my Riot for over a year now and couldn't be happier. The reviewer is spot on regarding the bikes carachteristics, it's an aptly named bike for sure. I run 30% sag with a coil dvo shock and it's gives me the level of poppiness and cush that I'm looking for. The cool part about this frame is the AS and Leverage curves are pretty linear so it doesn't get all wonky if you play around with different sags. I've also tried a 200x50mm air shock which turned it into a poppy a rocket ship. I prefer the...

Just want to comment on the Box's rear der integration with the e13 TRS 9t cog's. I too had an initial issue with tuning the Box shifting with my TRS cassette in the 9t cog. Otherwise, on a standard cassette with either a 10 or 11t cog, it's great. The trick for me was a combo of getting just the right chain tension derived from cutting the chain length just to the absolute minimum length and fiddling with the B tension adjustment. It's been running smooth and good on my Intense Spider275c with e13 TRSr 9-46 cassette. I'm building up...

I like the inclusion of the suspension curves. The linear vs. regressive beginning stroke is a nice touch, should make sag set up less critical, at least in terms of leverage. I've found the older VPP bikes to only work in a small sag range. No pics or words re: the new bottom link? It's got a very Maestro look, would love to see more detail.

10/17/2014 10:03am What @noahColorado said.... 5 stars means, pretty much perfect in every way. I wasn't blown away by the suspension in the trail mode, though some of that may have been the rear shock needing a bit of tweaking, and one day/ride isn't enough to dial it in. Standover wasn't the best simply because they want to be able to fit a water bottle, which in the end is a fair trade off. Weight would be another issue as it isn't the lightest thing out there, but this is offset by price and solid construction (the saying "light, strong, cheap... pick...
