I have both currently and I prefer the Oak levers. The freedom coast levers have a tighter (sharper) radius where they transition from the face of the lever up and over to the top/bottom and back. It can and does creat hotspots when I'm doing trails that are 1-2 miles and very steep and you're constantly on the brakes. Other then those extreme braking situations, the hot spot issue does not show up. The oak levers however have no such issues, have a more comfortable and eased hook to them and do add some leverage. Being an e-bike, your cassette could be worn out already or the parallelogram in your derailleur is bent. Does it have a rock rash on it?

If you haven’t already, check out Vital’s latest PIT BITS for a quick overview of Reece’s particular setup. While there is a lot of interesting tech on Reece’s bike, one defining feature is the prototype raised reversed stem manufactured by Be More Bikes. Reece combines this stem with high rise bars to create a tall stack with reduced reach. This allows Reece to extend at the hips more, creating a tall, upright riding posture. Fantastic test vital, but do think the scoring should be weighted more percent to 'grip', which is after all partial consequence of 'concavity' and 'pin to axle'. A massive tyre shootout next please, with a similar weighted score system would make good reading. Also I'd describe the majority of these pedals as expensive; cost or value for money, along with reliability/ease of service, should be part of the weighted score. Maybe it's just me, but I seem to regularly have rock strikes, and always the thought of bashing $140USD Vaults would deter me from purchase.
