Yup, plus about 1kg each for the tires. Throw in a dropper and weigh it with pedals and I think it adds up.

I'm in love.
My fork is a low single pivot Kona, this is a DW Link Pivot. Wheel path is no comparison. Progressive damping, progressive spring curve, no lower leg service, bottoming control and so much more. Steering we've never experienced. No...more

Super fun bike and one of the best lookers I've seen in a while. Those straight on pics don't do justice to what this bad boy looks like in person. Will be high on my list if I get the green light for a new whip.

Interesting article and clearly touches on some big issues facing both mountain bikers, but also web content creators.

First, there clearly are potential issues with E-bikes and traditional bikes sharing trails. The trickiest area is bidirectional singletrack, especially...more

I love it.... no problem with using a chairlift to get up Mammoth, but as soon as people want to use e-bikes on e-bike approved trails people lose their goddamned minds. Nothing like people telling other people how they should be able to enjoy their own mountain bike...more

That's the bikes actual weight. (Weight including rider). Don't know why people insist on weighing their bike only, that number has no real-world use.

Thanks for sharing Vital. I don't own an e-bike and don't really plan on owning one in the near future, but I would love a day out at Mammoth tooling around on one this capable. I'll have to plan in a demo/rental day on my next trip up there.

If you read the article it clearly states that ebikes are allowed on the trails. So your argument is invalid.
Anyway, enough troll feeding. Good luck in your black and white world.

Dude, get over it already. Why should riding bikes off road be so exclusive? The way you do it isn't the only way it can be done

@casman No disrespect but I actually don't think you are. You are thinking about a current circumstance in your own area and you are not considering that there a trails right around the world where there are no issues for riding ebikes and these will increase participation,...more

So Clementz is using the enduro version of the etap rear mech.

Sorry but I don't get the hype surrounding etap. The pros in road racing don't like it at all. I wrench for a Continental Pro team so I know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, there is a definitely a big difference in how the bike feels with the coil shock, that's for sure.

My settings (on the air shock, add 2-3 clicks of HSC on the coil shock):

LSC 14 from closed
HSC 15 from closed (12 from closed on the coil)
LSR 12 clicks from closed
HSR 12 clicks from closed...more

Added a comment about product review Tested: 2017 Canfield Brothers Riot Factory Build 5/5/2017 8:15 PM

I've been flogging my Riot for over a year now and couldn't be happier. The reviewer is spot on regarding the bikes carachteristics, it's an aptly named bike for sure. I run 30% sag with a coil dvo shock and it's gives me the level of poppiness and cush that I'm looking for. The cool part about this frame is the AS and Leverage curves are pretty linear so it doesn't get all wonky if you play around with different sags. I've also tried a 200x50mm air shock which turned it into a poppy a rocket ship. I prefer the full travel coil, but it's nice to be able to tinker.

I have taken mine apart 2-3 times now and it's really pretty straightforward, no torque wrench needed, just crank the bolts down and call it a day. The cavity where the lower link resides does get filled with all sorts of junk and is a PIA to clean out. I've resorted to moto foam which does the trick.

I like the inclusion of the suspension curves. The linear vs. regressive beginning stroke is a nice touch, should make sag set up less critical, at least in terms of leverage. I've found the older VPP bikes to only work in a small sag range.

No pics or words re: the new bottom link? It's got a very Maestro look, would love to see more detail.

What @noahColorado said....

5 stars means, pretty much perfect in every way. I wasn't blown away by the suspension in the trail mode, though some of that may have been the rear shock needing a bit of tweaking, and one day/ride isn't enough to dial it in. Standover...more
