not to side track too much, but any decent goalie i've ever played with was a darn good regular skater. When you factor in getting to national team level, I'd easily go with the over on skating ability here. My theory is that goalies typically have to do all the skating drills with full pads when in practice so with regular pads or just playing shinny they can move. And, just like world cup DH, you don't get to that level without being real good at the basics.

I'd be super curious what that all means for "the industry." 5 immediate options come to mind:
1. Is Remy asking for an improved deal and DVO is saying they don't see his value?
2. Is Remy asking for an improved deal and DVO is saying they see his value but can't pay him what he's asking for?
3. Was Remy happy with his current deal but DVO didn't want to renew because YouTube/Remy's channel doesn't move the needle for them any more?
4. Was Remy happy with the current deal but DVO has to cut costs?
5. Remy was approached by someone else and wanted a change (for any number of reasons)?
They all kind of imply something different for "the industry."
He was riding a Suntour double crown fork at some point during the summer. Wonder if that is who he will sign with.
It's possible that may have just been the most convenient substitute if DVO didn't have a double crown fork available at the time. SR Suntour manufactures DVO's fork castings, shock bodies, etc, AFAIK -- don't know if they're also responsible for any of the internals. The two companies have a close working relationship from what I understand.
I dont really watch much of the YouTube stuff anymore , used to watch BKXC stuff and Mctrail rider and the odd video of some of the others but it feels like from a sponsorship perspective there are a lot less YouTube riders with bike brand deals now .
I do not watch as much of the bikertubes anymore as well, still dedicated to Brendog and Rob Warner channels though. I wonder if they all need to emulate the streaming or TV model, where they release a few 'episodes' to binge on, or release them in a timely manner "every tuesday, 8pm new episode drops"...and maybe they all do that, just seems hard to keep track of the feed. I will say the web based youtube app is more intuitive and feeds a bit more of my desires, but the TV smart app youtube on my samsung TV and Roku, they both kinda suck (the embedded youtube app).
Anyway, I got nothing for rumors, but, interesting reading!

I can confirm it said Dakota.
I think he said the rider is tall because the DH bike they are making for the rider is actually an ebike frame with a BB bracket.
I was thinking Alden Pate, since he is quite tall.
