I never said refined. Just saw that they were live before their timeline they said earlier. "Coming in May". Looks like small changes only. Was hoping for a bit more tbh.
So the alloy transition that we saw posted a while back with a vertical shock and dual crown must have been the new Spire then and not the TR11
Maybe I missed the news or a previous post, but those pretty red Pike and Lyrik forks we've been seeing on athlete bikes for a while are now available for retail purchase. Was that lumped in with the 70/90/Motive release or was it just a quiet trickle out into the market?
I thought people were just like me and figured that Rockshox forks always came in Red so it wasn't a new thing?
Rockshox has run a number of red forks over the years no doubt, but the current Pike and Lyrik (also the SID and Rudy too) are new releases.

The red now becomes the universal color on the Ultimate forks, replacing the silver for Pike and the forest green for Lyrik (and blue for SID) that they had previously.
You can just use a washer on SRAM as well. Not that hard to find. Works great on X01 mechanical or GX with an upgraded B-bolt.
This Fox USD fork looks pretty buttoned up with off tool bits - any word on when this will hit the market?
Definitely was a tr-11 or dh bike. Shock was way too long for a sprie. Also the one I saw was also definitely a dh bike as the person is a dh athlete I saw on it
They could just be transferring the Spire to a 250 i2i shock to better utilize its long travel - always thought a 65mm stroke shock isn’t enough for a 170mm bike (or even 180 as seen with a Cascade components link)…
Maybe they canned it due to the financial climate and just slightly re-jigged the existing TR11 then?
The frame looks like it uses the same hydroformed tubeset they just have a new headtube, slightly adjusted seatstay with the CS adjuster in it, and a slightly lower overall leverage ratio.
Maybe i'm missing something, but it looks very close to the previous model
Yeah them saying its just a prototype and absolutely nothing more I dont believe. There is a reason it was on like 10 different bikes at sea otter.
Also, having made moulds for the carbon leg-guards, rather than using an already existing diameter of carbon tube seems expensive. And some of the plastic bits looked injection moulded, not 3d-printed. So it seems like there is a lot invested for something allegedly not being planned for production.
I believe some people here in the thread said June release for this fork. Looking at how buttoned up it looks, does not seem impossible.
Every time I start thinking about a USD fork, I look at where the scratches and dings are on my fork lowers and realize they would be a problem on an USD fork.
They do look cool though.
Specialized Gravity on new brakes.
And on rotors installed wrong way around.
There's a pic a few pages back of a very proto-looking lever.
Edit: here ya go (can't remember how to link to a specific post): https://www.vitalmtb.com/forums/The-Hub,2/2020-MTB-Tech-rumors-and-inno…
Jordie's comments were very interesting. It wasn't all positive. He was very clear there is a use case for the fork, but it's not what the majority is going to be looking for.

Care to summarize what those use cases are? Sorry, feeling too lazy to go find the comments
eebs. mentions fork is gonna be heavy.
Super-crappy news from Ari; hundreds of bikes stolen
Wasn't it already determined they are Brembos? Only makes sense, seeing as Brembo owns Ohlins.
Someone guessed they were Brembos, dunno about confirmation tho...
what's trickstuff been teasing on their IG account? New maxima? I heard a new piccola was coming as well, but really looks like new maxima
ugh, that SUCKS for ARI
The tease:
New 3d printed titanium levers for the Piccola it seems like, recognized the shape from a set they showed at some bikeshow a while back
Lets see if there are any other reworked bits. The piccolas has been out of stock for close to a year, not sure if they have built up stock or done something more.
Release is apparently april 24th according to "derbikedoc" on instagram.
Pic from a bikeshow, seems very similar to the shape in the video above.
they also posted a few days ago on the stories some riders on downhill / enduro bikes riding with a "Stay Tuned" that's why I assumed some Maxima update
One might think so, but one of those riders is known for wanting the absolutely lightest components on his bike, since he does some extreme trails that require you to climb to the top with your bike on your back.
This lever will probably be for both the regular Piccola, and the Piccola HD, the HD version which is a great brake for trail/lighter enduro bikes if you as a rider isnt super heavy.
Here's a screenshot from a video of one of the riders from the story Trickstuff posted - Clearly a piccola
it makes sense I sent email to them a couple of weeks ago, they told me they were expecting to have Piccola HDs available end of April, but no ETA for the non-HD version. Must be Piccola then like you guys are saying
