For the last 2 years of my bike shop ownership for me in Wellington, the Orbeas were my biggest selling brand by a long way.
That's cool!
Which bikes were selling the most? Were people more impressed and ready to spend on their Ebikes or on their meatbikes? Did mtb dominate the sales or were they spread out across the different bike categories?
Crazy, I Only really ride down South and Auckland/rotorua.
I've been at skyline QT nearly every possible day i can since arriving back a week ago.
p.s, It's cool to see the Pro's ride here, You see them on Tv and think its not that fast but in person... Holy F$%k.
Wide spread across the range, but MTB dominated, then kids bikes and commuter bikes equally, then road bikes in minuscule numbers.
An even split as well between electric and non electric in both MTB and road bikes.
We should probably stop now, before the powers that be, chastise us for polluting the Team rumors thread lol.

Hmmm, looks like the Jewetts are on stealth D4's, I wonder if there is any meaning to that.
Giant doesn't have a full-face in their line-up (anymore), but 100% does and they are co-sponsor on goggles and gloves. As a pro, why rock gear from somebody who doesn't look like is giving you money? I mean, 100% is making full-face... Is the next upper echelon Giant helmet around the corner and they are just waiting for that or is a new helmet sponsor to be announced? The press release reads: ”helmets provided by Giant”.

Believe it or not, I think the last minutes of this video reveal the FMD thing and what I think is that Kate Courtney will be racing for Orbea.
The man is Ibon Zugasti, founding member of the Orbea Factory XC when it was a marketing strategy with several amateurs or semi pro riders in Spain. He has himself won XC and gravel masters worlds in his category. They also had Tomi Misser, a former DH WC racer from Spain, that won XC and DH world's masters on the same year. They sold a TON of bikes with this strategy and then jumped to the elite world cup with the team.
So! At the end of the video he reveals that on January the 13th there will be a big announcement for the Orbea Factory team. Several riders including national champions and a REAL rainbow, not like his masters own one (his words), to top it off... A rider from North America... How many riders from North America with a real rainbow are in the market now?
He also mentions that he might be trying DH and attending some races.

Apparently 100% is only going to specialize in eyewear in the future. According to rumours, the sale of helmets, protectors and clothing will be minimized or even discontinued.
Damn. Really hope someone picks tmac up. Finally getting a rampage podium and getting dropped by your two largest sponsors (pon dropped all of gt) has to be rough! Especially after all the injury time the past few years. Someone get the man some gear and a salary!
I would not like to see T-Mac on Zino bike. Bad advertisement for him (T-Mac) to be linked to such a person.
Hopefully a cool brand will be interested like Transition, Atherton or ?
What’s your issue with Zink? He has been an absolute legend every time I have hung out with him and that’s many, many times over the years. Not to mention all of his wins and what he has done for our sport.
He has consistently said awful things about certain demographics. I personally don’t really care or judge anyone till I meet them a few times but it doesn’t look great to most

Mille on Pivot? I swore I saw her on a pivot bike in one of Eds videos last season. Now she is posting stories outside of Vegas area.
FWIW my buddy is in Queenstown and said he saw the whole Pivot team at Coronet yesterday...

they’re the only manufacturer making helmet sizes that will fit a >62 skull AFAIK, so I hope they continue doing helmets.

Rachel Atherton is coming out of retirement for the 100k lol, the bike is being built, and she's probably the most capable between men and women on taking it. Sure it been awhile since she's raced, but I'm guessing she could still be first on race day if she put her mind to it.

Honestly think the Athertons might be a cheat code. Dan and Rachel do pretty much nothing but train at Dyfi (Gee is doing side quests). Rachel would definitely get on a podium if she did another WC and Dan would have a chance too.
Dan wouldn’t even be able to qualify for a final. Being a fast rider at your own bike park you ride everyday is completely different from racing world cups.
