Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
Showing up early here to say this is a bad idea. Great idea for me--so I'll be checking back in often--but bad idea overall.
1999
bring it back.
Voreis blowing up all the trail secrets 25 years ago
looks like a place you could slip and slide a lot at
These were taken a few miles away from each other, on different trails.
Many miles away
so this is amazing
No longer rideable and it never got totally finished but it was fun. Old go pro's sucked though..
Gets gnarly around 3:30 Way steeper than it looks..

The world needs more signs like this.
Can I nominate All of the Fun Trails in Sant Cruz County?
I blew it and missed this before starting the Trinidad, Colorado thread. Happy to let it die. Long live Trail Rumors.
How much of this is just an issue because N. America just sucks ass for building trails? Sure, no one wants to ride rutted clapped out trails. But I feel the larger issue is everyone is scared shitless that their favorite trail that doesn't exist is going to get bulldozed.
Or the opposite a bunch of butt hurt riders when they find they are loosing trails that were never legal and those who knew always knew they would disappear when they were ready to use the land.

I have no photos. Some Aptos lads made a video. But there's this place. It's in the middle of nowhere. The greater of two gas station exits in the Central Valley. From the top of the trail, for 360 degrees, there is not a tree in sight. Just rolling grassy hills with a small canyon at the bottom which you should generally stop for. Unless you are said Lads from Aptos. The trail is a lot of fun, but the (Trigger warning!) off trail LOAM is amazing. Sorry, it's not loam. It's this super dusty crust over super grippy dirt that will hold you until your pedals or bars dragging stop you. There are high concentrations of gypsum in the soil (I've found some massive crystals while riding there.) that seem to have a fondness for tire rubber. Hands down the best tire grip that I've ever experienced. Bone dry hero dirt. Thank you Manny.
It doesn't seem like there's much danger of having a bunch of trail poachers show up there.
