Same color, but those are different bikes. Check the front hubs.

Could it be one is a press bike, the other has been given to Chris Johnston and he may have put different (maybe sponsored) hubs on it?

Didn't know hubs and wheels cannot be changed...

Yea I agree, even in the first photo with the different hub, the hub is way to close for even a shorter travel fork and the wheel is too close to the downtube to be a mountain bike. Thats the Stig for sure.

PS,

The new Cannondale looks amazing in the dealer books. I think they may have nailed it.

I am guessing this means they have upped the stroke of the shock to lower the leverage ratio then.

I heard they'll have 4 different geo setting so...probably 29 or 27'' for the rear wheel!? I would be surprise if it was now only offered in mullet!

The new emerald green Santa Cruz is just the stigmata gravel bike, look it up on their website.

The big S will completely bone the rear kinematic again of that stumpy, you watch.

Unless it's a "enduroesque" 6 bar arrangement.

New nukeproof(s) coming our way in...well, last week, the head of mkt said it will be in a distant future...maybe even 2051...but, in reality 😁🙊..., while I said differently. Well, all of you should/want to guess what was/is the real release date? 😁😎

4 colors. Sand, Graphite, "Purple haze", and a beauty "Beetle green" oil slick-ish finish.

Wish I could let more go on this one but it was suggested I do not 😅. But I'm legit stoked about a Cannondale and it makes me feel weird haha. Geo hasn't been released yet though.

Yep, with a high(ish) main pivot too, similar to the GT dh bike. There's an idler too. First time I'm actually interested in a Cannondale, this one still looks weird (in a good way) but without the silly proprietary stuff. Hopefully the geometry isn't designed around dwarfs like most of their current lineup

We knew about the high pivot from the protos, but I honestly can't remember if it was a horst link back then or if it was even visible. It just intrigued me right now as I was thinking about all the companies jumping ship from the single pivot to a horst link over the past few years since the FSR patent has run out.

I think Cannondale kind of got away with Horst link on any of their flex pivot scalpels but yea didn't move to Horst until the Habit.

Looking at all the Scalpel generations a while back (I think it was for internet arguing when the new one came out), I think they covered the whole spectrum actually. Horst link, single pivot (so seatstay pivot), flextail by the rear axle and I think even a version without the BB pivot but a flex stay over there! Plus ofcourse the shock as it is now with both CW and CCW rocker link rotation, a vertical shock behind the seat tube, etc.

It seems they don't care about tradition, they just look at what seems and fits best at the time. Kudos for that!
