Fox usually coincides w/ Sea Otter. They'll announce and then product will roll out shortly there-after.

Really hoping there's a well thought out, screwed on fender option in the works, rather than sticking with zip ties like in the pic. I like the Syncros version, but it could still be better. Fingers crossed.

i'm not sure but those look kinda thin. 38 for DH too or i'm just seeing things?

I know it’s stiff and everything but that arch looks so unrefined it’s horrible! I hope they slim it down for the production models

@Philip: The arch is not getting slimmed down in production versions--Those are the production versions. The lower leg molds cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in tooling. It's a final product now, just waiting for launch.

It would make a lot of sense for Fox to go 38mm stanchions for their enduro fork and DH Fork. only difference being the dual crown on the DH fork. The lowers could be the same and the pistons/parts all the same. Would reduce manufacturing costs and skus. HOWEVER, it looks like the new fox '38' may be a 36mm stanchions. And the new DH fork could also be a 36 stanchions in that photo, with dual crowns. While the lowers look similar, they appear to be screw in axles on the enduro fork and pinch of the DH fork. And lower part of crown looks beefier on the DH model. So maybe they're just using the same stanchions and internal parts.

this has nothing to do with anything except 1996 DH fork sexiness found while searching for original marz super t forks. (did the very first super t's or maybe the old jr t forks have 2-piece stanchions that screwed together? like it was a Z1 body but added length for dual crown? i'm prob crazy and that's not accurate at all, but got me thinking that's what fox would do w/ the "38" and "40" here...same fork, just add longer stanchions, HA!)

edit - ignore the derail if you don't care about it, but did old jr t's have two-piece stanchions? yes or no is fine : ) see the line where the lower crown would clamped? is it just the end of the "slippery" zone of the stanchion? it seems like a ludicrous idea to have two-piece, but i swear i saw a shot of them unthreaded at some point in my early MTB life.

yep, the old jr's had 2 pc stanchions. and the OG super t's were sick.

I don't exactly know how we got to OG Super T's and Mr. T's, but if this isn't the place to brag that I own a polished OG Super T just like the one above, then where? :D

Mine came from a Sintesi Bazooka (I have no clue what happened to it) and it initially had some team-green decals. The disc caliper mount was made from the lowest grade aluminium, was very brittle and broke easily. I had stainless steel replacements made while I rode that fork. I also have a Mr. T, but it's less sexay than the Super T, duh!

Here's a story for ya. My first DH fork was an original Z1 with that crazy four inches of travel mated to my 22" polished Heckler. My first DH race was the Leaping Lizard in Laguna circa '93? '94?. I got the invite through my friend Feiki Bahn who I traveled there with and actually bought the fork and Formula brake off of. On the way down the I5 we stopped in Valencia to see his friend who worked at Marzocci. We got the full factory tour and I noticed some of these upper tubes and crowns in the shop as well as their show bike in the lobby. I begged more than is appropriate and was denied soundly. We left and continued down to Laguna where we met up with a friend of Feiki's to set up base and head out to dinner with Hans Rey at a sweet Italian joint in Laguna. It seems that while we were out to dinner and fabulous after party with Hans, some thieves broke into Marzzocci HQ and stole their show bikes. I got twentyninth. Then there were a lot of angry phone calls that happened accusing us of being the Midnight Marzocci Theives. We were eventually cleared of suspicion thanks to an alibi from our generous and kind host Hans.

I sold that fork and Formula brake set to afford one of the first Rock Shox DHOs. The shop I raced for was just up the street in Santa Cruz at the time. So we got our forks the same day they shipped them to the pros around the world. Legend has it at least.

You can laugh at me, but 13 winters ago it was bought as a budget item for what was to become my first proper DH bike. It was put on a way too small for me '99 GT Lobo frame (I'm 6 foot 3) and was run with a mixture of old and new parts. The frame already had 2 national titles under its belt and was one of the first proper DH bikes to hit these shores back in the day. I actually lived together with our National Champ of back then when our buddy brought him the bike from the USA and I had spent many hours just looking at it. Amazingly, riding that bike produced me my first (and only) local sponsorship with Commencal and then, since it made no point selling it, I passed it on to some local youngsters, who managed to score local sponsorships of their own. In its last season, in 2010, the Lobo scored a 4th place in the longest and most brutal track we had (think 8 minute runs and a 4 km long run) next to established riders and the fork was leaking all over the place, but otherwise ran well. I retrieved the bike after this second kid got his sponsorship and decided it's time to retire it, after 11 years of intense racing. It is now painted white and sits next to me as I write this, being signed by Peaty. My dream is to get it signed by all the people who ran an alloy Lobo in those days, including the fun Qranc team, but that would be super hard. I also bought another Lobo to build it as a tribute for my buddy, the former National Champ.

When that is done, maybe we shoot some nice pictures here and I can do a little write-up about it and if its decent and fitting maybe it makes it to this nice site... :D

The first mountain bike part I really lusted over was a Z1 Drop off, I think I was a freshman in high school. I bussed tables and spent every dollar I made on mountain bike parts. I used to flip to the back pages of MBA where Jenson and Supergo would have their entire inventory on a page in size 2 font. I would have to get my mom to call and order over the phone with her credit card.

I got one of the first Super T's in the USA thanks for being friends with Joe B and couple others guys whose names I cant remember now at Marz, most of them came over from Diamondback, so I had a Diamondback X6 with long travel link and super T, so sick! I remember Bryson showing all the prototype colors and finishes they were talking about and pointing to the brushed one and "yeah , that's sick!" Cool story bro! wish we had iphones back then so i had a pic of it
