so the live timing pretty much erases after riders cross the line. iceman said tracey went fastest in women by 5 seconds and tahnee DNS. thibault daprela won junior men by about 3 seconds with ross blake in 2nd, ethan shandro in 3rd and ky a'hearn in 4th. men are on now.

Too bad half the country couldn’t be bothered to vote then. We got trump for similar reasons in the swing states

matt walker wins ixs maribor. danny 2nd. charlie 3 and dak 4th. tracey takes women's.

so, how does this mess with the heads of riders like troy (7th) or gee (18th)? thinking WC winners here. maybe they didn't try, but if they did try and are they going to be puzzled? i know WC is a completely different frame of mind, but still...

I can totally see the main gunz using this to get a feel for the course prior to the actual World Cup. No point giving 100% only to risk injuring yourself before the main event.

Is it gonna be the exact same track or different taping in sections? 2 race week-ends in a row on the same track means it is gonna be blown out...

We’ve been told it will be slightly different in places.

Reaction like a little sulky kid
Kinda ironic he is dissing the fans about facts, when his team couldn't get their facts right on his points. Haha

The start list for the Maribor World Cup is up, see below. Absent from the 2018 top-80 are Martin Maes who won't be lining up in Maribor with his #20 plate (imagine doing just two races in a season, finishing in the top-20 overall and then not racing next year's series...many a racer would trade places in a heartbeat!). Bryn Atkinson, last year's #48 plate is also not present. Matt Simmonds making a return on the two-shocked DH proto from Cannondale too!

Jordi and the rest of the FOX boys are getting dialed in Maribor!

so cathro commented saying he can do more than 3 mins. which is good. the heckling is priceless, however.

Way to pumped up for this race. I feel Gwin is the top contender but this race is going to be separated by such a small margin.

yeah! the timed training results were so close. i know it's not race pace, but it's going to be so tight. track looks rad in the gee POV too.

"Luca Shaw had a big off last week whilst we were out in San Romolo doing some last minute prep for the first WC out in Maribor.

Initially everything was looking good and there was only a 'sore shoulder' to contend with, but after a tough two runs in practice this morning we took him to hospital to get him checked out. The result?
A broken collar bone.

We're gutted for him, but already excited about his big comeback at Ft Bill, a place that owes him a favour after last season!"
