That Akrigg video was cool and all, but this is, hands down, the best bike video I've ever watched.

Started new thread 2012 Transition Bandit Large black 12/29/2012 5:58 PM
$3200 OBO 2012 Transition Bandit 26. Bike is a large. I'm 6'0" on the nose and I'm right on the edge of medium and large but this was comfortable. Frame has been protected by Shelter tape on the downtube and 3M mastic tape on the chainstay.

Not sure how I feel about this. I see it leading to a lot of those "Oh, you mountain bike? What's the biggest jump you've ever hit?" kind of conversations. It's just such a specific side of our sport and doesn't represent the majority. I'd rather see an enduro event (or something similar) get mainstream coverage just because it better represents what most of us do. But, it's all about ratings...

Ummmmm....ouch. Any word on the Big Mountain Enduro series? FB page says that dates will be announced in a few weeks but that could have changed. After (what I see as) a pretty successful inaugural season, it would be a shame to see that fall apart too. ... more »

Granted the F1 thing makes sense, but SX and NFL perfectly represent why people ride moto or kids play football. For the record, I'd much rather see a WC DH on TV than Rampage or an enduro. My point is this: people get behind something they can grasp and understand, e.g. that guy won because he got down the hill fastest. Not--he tumbled down the hill better than the other guy. We all understand it, but for the public who has the money to invest in the sport, it's hard to grasp. That's all I'm getting at. Don't get so worked up over trivial opinions, not good for your BP in the long run.
