Imagine you're a average user that doesn't have a workshop, the tools, the knowledge and the heatshrink to pull apart the fork, change the spring, apply heatshrink to it and put it back together. If the fork is knocking, is too soft or too stiff, you need to go to the shop. How much will it cost you to have the correct spring installed? How much to make it quiet if the shop didn't apply the additional heatshrink on their own? How much does changing pressures on an air fork cost? In the eyes of the average user, is a...

all you need to know about PVD is that he once put mineral oil in a brake designed for DOT (might've been vice versa) to "see what would actually happen"

Ease of use and less SKUs. An air shock or fork adapts to everything from an XS to an XL rider with a shock pump by the average user. Changing coils is more involved, requires a workshop for the fork at least, different sizes come with different springs so you have 4 or 5 SKUs. And it's heavier. And more expensive as you have to buy another spring. Air is free.

Those are really two different things. The Secus also increases the negative spring size significantly. Given the shape, specifically that it's not round, and the relatively small size, I doubt it's connected to the main air spring or functions at all like the Secus in that regard. I'd expect it to sit much lower towards the foot bolt (and use a different foot bolt) if there was a port to the air spring shaft and for it to be much larger to have any meaning full impact on performance. Not impossible but seems like it would be unnecessarily complicated in...

It's for more volume (presumably adjustable/swapable piece) in the lower leg to reduce/control casting ramp in longer travel 38mm stancion forks. The Zeb in 170+ has been known to be very hard for people to bottom. This will help that. This, coupled with the rumored adjustable bottom-out, is likely trying to make the forks more coil-like and have the desired increased mid-stroke support. As has been said before in this thread, likely an integrated/smaller version of this: https://vorsprungsuspension.com/collections/all/products/secus-fork-air…

I was genuinely intrigued and was thinking of buying one of his stems because the BMB ones are so damn expensive, but an advertisement that calls people who disagree "haters and low IQ" immediately kills any chance of sending money his way.

I'm pretty certain 3000 bucks could not be crowdfunded from this site. 60 people contributing 50 bucks wouldn't be possible considering the amount of crying done about TV subscription fees

If you're not Ali/Amazon/ebay averse there are a number of options that fall under the 'good syringes, under $100' requirement. I've one from RiderAce for mineral oil brakes that's been perfectly fine in use that was maybe $30 or so when I got it. As with all bleed kits, the best thing you can do for em longevity wise is give them a clean after use. Flush with water then spray down with isopropyl and let em dry after.

Pretty sure it says "Charger" right at the top of the stanchion. I'm not aware of another company that has writing on it like that

fwiw, last year was the first year we ever had to pay to get lawlor his creds at a world cup. $3k for the races we attended. it's not a budget killer for us, but $3k goes along way on other projects for us.

Those tests always drive me nuts when they attempt to do vibration/damping analysis. I don’t think I’ve seen one come up with useful data for what they’re trying to prove/test. I wish I could use the shakers at work for personal use. 😂
