it's not just racers. i'll give away our future episode queue so you can all see where we're going. Episodes touch on a lot of what you're mentioning. These are already recorded and ready to rip - Stikman (Troy Lee), Bryson Martin Sr. (DVO), Duncan Riffle (SRAM), Jose Gonazalez (Trek R&D). I'm organizing future interviews as well with a variety of MTB personalities. we have such a rad group of people in our scene!

metric eye to eye, custom stroke. specialized and trek have been at this forever, but as you point out it's even more hilarious now that they've moved to the Metric shock "standard".

Re: specialized, I don't really traffic in rumors but this one seems like a no-brainer, at least on the suspension side. Maybe something weird for drivetrain like Box?

the specialized 2.6's (maxxis factory) measured bead to bead the same as conti trail king 2.4, which, in fairness are the biggest casing 2.4 you could previously find, but still. A moment of silence for numbers that mean something, please. edit: i wrote specialized 2.4 when I meant specialized 2.6. Woops!

THIS! This is what makes Vital great. The stories from the riders themselves. From the daily WC slideshows with real rider interviews to these first person pieces from mtb royalty, this is why i come here, and why you brands out there should dump your $ into advertising with Vital.

AllRide Liked a comment about Feature How in the Hell Does Kirt Voreis Not Have a Bike Sponsor?

Spomer, thank you for always having my back! The story is, I haven't had a bike sponsor for about 3 years. When budgets cuts hit Specialized marketing in 2013, my AllRide tour and Allride Jr development got dropped. I was super bummed but wanted to stay on the brand so I got a frame from friends that worked there in hopes budget would come back. I sent out proposals but teams were filled and I was branded. It was really no prob because I have great sponsors like Sram, FOXMTB, Clif Bar, and Camelbak that stepped up and kept me...

Good point. Vorsprung's teardown video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CPEWfkyvX8) clears up the bushing location question: inboard of the quad ring, unlike Fox x2 which has on on either side. Seems like it would be a pretty straightforward running change to go fox-style.

Were the seal head/bushing changes made to the DBAir as well as the inline? I just sent my DBAir CS in for the 3rd time this season- you read that right- and they told me about the quad ring size and material updates this time but not about the damper shaft bushing/sealhead geometry.

I like the two different shocks setup. i think that's where i'm headed for my next build, especially with 200x57 bikes so you can run a 200x51 inline air shock and a 200x57 coil/air piggyback shock.
