What travel setting/s do you find yourself using on this bike? Given that the weight stays fixed, do you find there is any disadvantage to upping it to 170mm? It is really fantastically light, and is a great change from the trend we've been seeing of bikes getting heavier and heavier even at the short travel end of things.

Still not buying any Bri*ish car ever. I worked in the auto industry years ago for a short while, and the consensus I came to (also shared by many famous Youtubers) is that the only thing British cars are good for is paying mechanics.

I'm not a fan of IP theft and blatant ripoffs, but one thing that I really like with some of these Chinese products is that they're actually delivering some of the features that people have been asking SRAM and Shimano for for many years (while being ignored). In this case, I'm talking about LTWOO allowing their electronic shifter/derailleur sets to be configured for essentially any number of gears. If trade opens back up, the big guys would do well to roll out some of these features, or consumers may just go for the company that seems to be listening to...

Is it just me, or do these Ti models (unlike the aluminum ones in the next pic) look like they are spindle-less? Kinda like they are heavily "inspired" by the Void and Pendulum pedals that recently dropped, but with a filled in middle.

Looks pretty sweet...Like if a Sight VLT had a DJI equipped baby. From what I can tell, Velduro is based in NZ, but they don't even have this (or any) MTBs on the website yet. They only have an e-gravel bike listed. I'd like to see the specs on this baby to see how they compare, as the Sight VLT...

I’m a Grayville local, I was riding there yesterday. I also hit up Case and Blackledge fairly often too.

Micro-spline was supposed to be Shimano's solution to the aluminum versions their older HG drivers getting eaten by cassettes. What's failing on Micro-spline?
For what it's worth, from what I have read, SRAM suggests that if your rotors are showing a purple or rainbow discoloration, they are running too hot, and you should size up. If the rotors are browned or bronzed, they are at the optimal size. If there's no distinct discoloration, they may not be getting hot enough, and you should...
This may seem pedantic but, while it is accurate to say bumping up the rotor size from 200 to 220ish provides " an extra 10% braking surface per wheel revolution", isn't the relevant concern the 10% larger radius of the rotor? That is what gives the extra stopping power. I could see the braking surface area being valuable if we...

Regarding narrow wide cassettes, when I first started seeing those I wondered how the hell they could keep the clocking right, after lots of high load and ill timed shifts. We see narrow wide derailleur pulleys that get out of sync with the chain, and those are in constant contact, unlike the cassette which is reliant on the chain always...
Shimano may well have changed their production around, but its also good to keep in mind that there are a lot of counterfeit Shimano and Sram rotors floating around on the interwebs. I've only seen them using all steel construction though, so not sure if there are knockoff alu-spidered freeza rotors out there. I'm actually using some of the counterfeit...

Youve ridden an ebike for 2 yrs and still dont know that no matter how many watts and nm's there are the cut off is still 20mph/32kph on any class 1 emtb? That being said i suspect we've reached the limit. The extra nm and watts will enable you to climb a bit faster or climb more technical trail but i think we're at the end of the traction/power ratio. What the exact number is i'll reserve judgement until i try it. Im still on a 70nm e8000 and having fun and that allows me to see that an 85nm/600w...

I like the display, but we all knew there would be one eventually to fill the spacer hole everyone has designed into their frames, not that bothered by the power numbers, rarely ride in Turbo. But I guess those numbers sell bikes, but perhaps not until the summer? Strange choice to give the consumer another reason to hold off on a new bike purchase when so many manufacturers are reporting slow sales!

That is interesting. Due to gravity, the pressure in the rear caliper would go up when the bike is hung vertically, but the front seems like it would actually go down, relative to storing the bike in a normal "tires on the ground" position. Did you notice the leaking calipers in only the rear brake, only the front, or both...
That is a good question, and I am curious to see what answers you get, as I have the same brakes on a bike (albeit one that isn't seeing any really challenging conditions). My understanding is all the Shimano brakes from those Deore up to XT and the non-xc XTR have the same piston sizes, so the hydraulic power should...

I had recently seen an article about companies using that excess space at the port that you mentioned to set up sort of tariff free waiting stations, where you can basically rent a spot to park your container before it goes through customs, in hopes of the tariffs being reduced significantly in the near future. The downside is obviously that...

Don't forget the NOS systems. On the subject of the Ari theft, I saw an article on BikeRumor that offered more detail than the other articles I'd seen. I'd assumed the trucker stopped for lunch and someone snatched the trailer, or emptied it out, but it was actually a more sophisticated operation where the thieves impersonated a real trucking company...
