You could also say it was the move to Specialized during his prime that stopped him being GOAT. He was untouchable on Trek, then jumped on a bike that didn't suit him, and spent a 1-2 seasons developing prototype links, front triangles, then a whole new bike that finally got him back to winning ways. His move to YT was a much more successful change. He immediately felt at home on that bike and the Gwinner was back to dominating ways. I know this is kind of off-topic, but wanted again to share the appreciation for the vital slideshow. You inspired me (a proper millennial with short attention span) to re-think the way I consume content, and provided a level of depth and quality of both images and interviews that I will really miss. Thanks to the whole team for the amazing stuff, Littermag/Vital remains a sanctuary.

Really looking forward to seeing the other colorway, geo changes, and build specs of the Megatower V2. Won't be much longer at all! Hopefully new bike day is coming for me a lot sooner than later.

I have a 2014 Canyon myself. Back then, they used a Syntace X-12 through axle and a Cane Creek headset and headset cover. All quality stuff that is easily replaced even years after the frame is discontinued. I don't doubt their headset system works but this is just proprietary for the sake of being proprietary. I don't even think it looks better.

Really appreciate how honestly and objectively Dak discusses his competitors! Such humble admiration for his peers from a guy who himself had a great result on a new bike!

Also... was there some sort of clause in the press release that said "Don't mention BikeYoke"? I've seen this press release on at least three different cycling websites. The post is identical to a Revive. It even says "Revive" right on the side. I know people who write about bikes for a living know what a BikeYoke looks like. But not one of the announcements has included any mention of the fact that this post isn't actually "all new" and clearly isn't an independently developed product. That's a resounding silence. What the hell?

Seb Stott of bike radar times noted in a podcast that he felt the zeb working better, smoother going through the travel, thinking it might be connected through less flex of the chassis and thus less bushing binding.

Have you ridden one? I attribute the incredible performance to more bushing overlap, actually. It stays as slippery in the parking lot as it does the roughest root carpet.

Why would you want your steering elements to be moist? I think the word you're looking for is "damping".

It all depends on the product manager. NIB aftermarket forks usually come with a tooled axle. Some complete bikes come with a quick release Maxle as original equipment. Quoted photo is 100% for the Totem.
