I strongly disagree. I think it was a nice change of pace and really lets us see the difference between riders and their different lines. While i agree the "old" format was more action packed, this is a welcome addition to prepare for sunday because it gives much more insight into the intricacies of each section of track, which rider looked strong on which part etc. and therefore adds nicely to the limited camera angles that are available on raceday. It also isn´t as overwhelming as the usual raw rapidfire if you´re interested in track details, because you don´t need...

no worries, and thanks for being constructive. i see both sides to the argument. since i'm not at the race, i personally loved seeing a lot of action (even if it wasn't quite as A.D.D. as some RAW vids), but i can see where you're coming from.

Why wouldn't he time it back to back with 27.5, if I had a choice, I'd make sure I was on the right one. Or is this all just marketing and hype? Looking forward to the race.

I wholeheartedly disagree: drunkwarner and freecaster made racing great again. We're seeing the result of having 'a future'. Not showing anywhere near the entire field coming down the course, wasting 20 minutes explaining what a bike is instead of showing racing, and a severe lack of Warner's anecdotes from the wild west of the 90s. Don't kid yourself. No non-mountain biker is going out of their way to deliberately tune into a red bull internet broadcast and buying a 6k bike because of it. It's better when it's for the intended audience.

Kidwoo, you nailed it! I whole heartedly agree with you. Did anyone notice the start times for the men and the women on Redbull TV? I saw 5am for the women and 7am for the men (MDT). Does that mean they are showing all 20 women and all 80 men again? I really hope so! I also hope they use all the interviews and tech pieces for a separate show and show every bit of racing they capture. That stuff is interesting but not while I know I could be watching some one race.

Two things: 1. Why is Ft Bill still here? 2. Why is Leogang still here? The former is a tired, beat up track with no lodging options, no cell service, and godawful wifi. The latter is a track riders do not like, and there are multiple better options, "just up the street"... I'll concede it's cool to see Le Bresse back and a new stop with Losinj. However, it seems very dumb to have a full month off between Rd 1 and Rd 2. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth they say, but what if it's visibly lame?

Well, with the exception of Leogang and possibly Lenzerheide they're all pretty great I think. It's a big improvement compared to 2-3 years ago.

7 rounds is great but I was hoping for some new (or old) venues for next year! Sure Fort William, Mont St Anne, and Val di Sole are classics but there are so many great tracks out there. And no race in the USA again. Crazy! I guess it comes down to who can afford to host these things.
