I noticed that to on the weight advantage of this V3 post. I just built up a XC XL Blur TR with a V3 210mm and still came in at 26lbs.

Dropper post length and insertion depth is one of the most underappreciated spec choices especially for use shorter riders. I'm 5'8" on a good day with short appendages so the ability to swap from a 150 AXS to 210 Oneup and still have a lower compressed stack height was an absolute game-changer on my newest rig. Insane that it's still 60 grams lighter than Fox's "ultralight option". Oneup stuff is great quality, solidly priced, and most importantly the most compact option on the market.

Is clothing technology permitted in this tech thread? Or does it have to be rumor related as well? Because I'm a stinky guy, but man this morning I just got back from a 3000+ vert ride in the sun and I sweated like Fauci at a Senate hearing but when I got home my wife commented how my merino wool jersey (51%, $25 on sale at EVO) had 0 BO smell. This isn't the first time this miracle has manifested. Also, I feel it is excellent in the cold (sub 55 degrees) and heat as well.

New Warden for sure. I wouldn't be surprised t see a little more change from the previous version than we've seen on the other gen. 6 frames.

Just to bring it back to tech rumors. I saw knolly post a story about a new bike coming on the 26th. Looks like it might be a mullet with longer travel. Any guesses what? New Warden?

Hey guys, Slightly less boutique question here lol. Partly out of curiosity and partly due to my inability to pass up a good deal on marketplace, I swapped out my Code RSC's with the Cascade cams in them for a set of Shimano XT levers mated to Zee calipers with MTX Gold pads. I actually haven't had a chance to...
Another person speaking out of their ass and doing no research lol. The internals of the brake are definitely different than Trickstuff, they have their own patents on the brake too. Yes they definitely took some design cues on how the lever looks but internally it's not a copy. Pretty amazing we can get a brake of this quality for under $500 but of course you still have people looking for something to complain and argue over.

Stoked to see another person happy with the Lewis brakes. Also love to see the racists downvoting any post with the word Lewis in it Everyone I know who's gotten a set has been blown away by the performance, and everyone who seems to dismiss them has never even tried them let alone seen them in person

A couple of things I’ve found help to get the absolute best out of the newer Hope brakes. 1 while performing the gravity bleed with the bleed cup on the lever start with the pistons retracted into the calliper, then when the fluid is all coming through fresh extend the pistons and then open the bleed reservoir and allow about 10-15 seconds of fluid movement. Reset the pistons back in, followed by a further 10-15 seconds of gravity bleed. This seems to ensure no air can get trapped behind a piston… 2 once you’ve finished a bleed leave a bleed...

Hey all, I'm looking to experiment with the suspension on my 2023 GT Force Carbon Pro this season and I thought I'd see if anyone else has similar questions/thoughts as me. Currently, it has MY23 Zeb Ult/Super Deluxe Ult on it which are setup as follows: Zeb 170- 64 PSI/2 tokens/RB 1 from open/LSC 7 from closed/HSC 4 from closed...

You don't need different tunes, just use different weight oils. The solution already exists, I know some of the elite XC people use an oil that's called almost water (I can't remember it's exact name, it's 2.5WT from memory? Someone will know what I mean). It's much easier to sell the same product, and just swap oils, that way you can onsell it, or gain weight, or lose weight, and it's like $2 of fluids instead of labour on rebuilding your stack.

Every product release it’s the same story. We’ve done this we’ve done that, yada yada. Thing is, they are trying to cater to a broad market. New riders and advanced riders all in the same bucket with only 10 clicks to separate them. As bikes change and skills advance more quickly, this assembly line damping process struggles to keep up with the changes. None of the fork companies would ever do this, but wouldn’t it be interesting if they just offered a chassis? You could build the forks tuning from the ground up with whatever tuner you think is best…

I'm interested to see how the new Linear XL can with a bunch of spacers in it will stack up to the old megneg setup. I had the old SDU and found the Megneg to be night and day. Now that I'm on the MY23 version with the linear aircan, I'm missing that feeling to an extent.

Define "new". Brent basically whips up anything he feels like at the drop of a hat. He's probably got a dozen DH rigs he's built in the back that he just never bothered putting on the website. He's the California hydroform version of FTW in a way. Dude farts swingarms & sneezes linkage.
