If the mountain bike industry can produce travel adjustable forks and cuttable handlebars, it can figure out cuttable seat tubes. Or just start running shorter seat tubes, like 450mm seat tubes on size large frames instead of 490mm.

I want to see downhill bikes return from Yeti and Evil. And more up and down bikes get short seat tubes to run long travel dropper posts. Or make markings to allow the customer to cut the seat tube shorter if they wish.

Probably some cold meds type shit, if I were a guessing man...the stakes in this sport aren't rich enough for Lance type cheating. But then again, there were those canadian XC dudes years ago that did EPO, so, maybe there is an alibaba for dope? Maybe, it's better to say "the stakes aren't rich enough in DH and EWS, because it's not an olympic sport" and things always seem to go sideways when the olympics are involved.

Good question. In a word "Yes". But this doesn't end with DH bikes, trail bikes, XC bikes, all bikes are more betterer (technical term) at a much lower price point than ever before. Part of the reason for that is technology is really getting to a place where it isn't getting that much better, so the next most logical place to apply engineering is "how to we make this rad thing better for less". 5 years ago I would notice a big difference in overall "ride experience" on a $10,000 bling machine and a $2500-3000 bike.
