Who did the paint? I have a Yeti SB 5.5 that needs some love next year, and was thinking a custom paint job would be the best way to freshen it up...

I would agree, these do look like the Mamba S pedals. However, the box and pedals do not signify “Mamba S” anywhere and just say “Mamba”, so that was a bit confusing to us. You can find the entire FUNN catalog on their Amazon store at the link below and the Mamba S pedals for $115.00 USD https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/F0D0C02E-B56A-4B4F-8804-A09F30C6BCFE…

great as a frame up build for a burly high end bike! But yeah, SRAM only means no deal for me.

Different strokes for different folks. I won more than a few races on downhill tires at 28/29 psi. Like previously mentioned by others, there’s no universal tire pressure that works for everyone. For me, anything under 25 psi (maxxis, schwalbe, bontrager, specialized, or continental, those are the tires I’ve ran most) squirms around on me in corners and seems to not hold up to square edge hits as well for me. I also ride size medium bikes which is not on trend with todays “size up” mentality, and this allows me to really pin point where my weight is on...

serious question, why do people say "size medium" when talking about their bikes? I see it all the time in professional reviews. It is like me saying my bike is "color black"...But yes, of course it is different strokes for different folks. Very rarely is any answer an absolute/universal truth in this sport. Hell, my tire pressure will change between a park day and a regular trail ride, or even which regular trail ride. I just never go over about 24...

I'm over 230lbs geared up and with Tannus inserts I'm running 21/25psi max and that's in southern BC riding everything. Wow.

Would like to see these tested at a more common PSI. 26/27 on a 29er is pretty high compared to what most average consumers are using. How about 22/23 to see if the durability claims hold up?

I ride SoCal trail that look exactly like the ones in the pics, and am about 50lbs heavier than the test rider and ride aggressively. I run my tires at @ 21 rear (with insert) and 21 front...Either Vittoria Agarros (much better than a Minion for that terrain) or Mazzas (great aggressive/burly option). I feel out of control if I am above 23-24...crazy to see someone that light riding that high.

As a fan of Vittoria tires, this is awesome to see! They have been putting out some amazing offerings lately, with the Mazza being a big fave of mine.

I am in my 50s and am still years away from wanting an e-bike. I see them much more as a way to enjoy more miles for anyone who wants to ride harder or longer. I raced with a guy who does all his pre-riding on his ebike, then destroys people on his regular bike at race time. But they are (and this is why I want one) great for recovering from injuries or those important mellow rides.

Yep that headset is a deal killer and who wants to zip tie cables on a 10,000 dollar investment. Any engineers who can make a cheap and quality solution to preventing water dripping in with the cables can probably make a buck.

You must know those guys pretty well if you didn't know this was coming. I know how you feel though, when Apple released a watch, I was like "how could you do this to me?!?! I HATE watches so ill never use your phones or computers again!!!". Then there was that other time when TLD released something in non-fluro colors! "WTF...that's not your ethos?!?! I'm out!". Don't even get me started on 29er wheels. The NERVE of some companies who don't EXCLUSIVELY cater to ME ME ME ME and MY MY MY wants and opinions!!!

Man, common. If you want to share your opinion, you have to expect that someone will disagree. No one is burning you at the stake. Don't be so melodramatic. If you were a true "diehard" Transition fan you wouldn't be jumping ship so quickly. Oh and, this site is noting like PB.

I buy bikes, not Ethos If products work as promised, only issue I would take is if they are unscrupulous or somehow way out of line with the rest of the industry. Of course trying other brands is great. But this whole "offended a business is trying to stay viable by selling out" crap...it gets old. I always wonder what the rest of people's lives are like when they complain about "bikes in woods", surely hiking is the more pure way of enjoying nature? EVERYTHING used in bikes uses finite resources for our pleasure. It is especially funny when...

I never really got this mentality. Plenty of brands make crap I don’t want to ride or use. But they might make a product I want, so i get said product. Just don’t buy what you don’t want to buy. E-bikes are just money to be made for these companies. I think they are kind of stupid. I completely agree about not using motorized equipment on non motorized areas.
