I was thinking the same thing when looking at the pics. My Ohlins 36 coil has very subtle and almost perfectly smooth graphics (either paint or transfer decals). These look like generic stickers you would send to a budget online shop. I generally pull all the decals off when I get new forks, as they just look like crap. Looks like Ohlins is on par with its competition for that now.

If I was paying £1k+ for a fork then I'd expect better decals. My £600 Manitou Mezzers have far better looking decals.

This is the first ebike to start me thinking about actually buying one. 2 of my friends have the carbon Rise and it is an insane bike, but so expensive. This looks like the best bang for the buck e-bike.

Great exploration of why he sets up like that. I run wider bars than most of my buddies for this exact reason...it is where I put my hands when I bench in the gym.

I found this strangely relatable for mountain bike content. More than anything it comes across like a genuine attempt to help less experienced riders make a few simple decisions and arrive at a better outcome for themselves. So it came across to me a lot like the 5-10 minute demonstrations I do to introduce students to new lab equipment, or to ask them to think about more familiar equipment in a new way. I don't know if it gets engagement or changes people's behavior or moves product better or worse than all the other mtb marketing using tropes from beer...

Crazy to see how expensive these "one trick pony" parts are. $400 for the seat to go up and down, when you can get the cheap ones to do the same thing for 1/2 that. I am all for spending good money on parts that really make a difference, but having used multiple KS Levs, multiple Fox Transfers, Race Face, and a couple of others, my CHEAPEST post (close out PNW Rainier G2) with a Loam lever works every bit as well as my Factory Transfers did.

I CANNOT climb tech on flats! Riding clipless for @ 30 yrs has trained me to pull up with my front foot to backpedal. I end up lifting my foot right off when I try flats. Could I learn to push down with my rear foot instead? Sure. But no point, as like you, I like the feel of clipless and the security on tech/chunky terrain is awesome vs flats. But I know other guys who swear by flats...so does it really matter

Just like all the "Enduro Bros" who run flats (and mud guards year round in SoCal) because they look cool? Personal preference is what it is...who cares what other people ride?

Real world it goes back to the old school thing with Ned Overend & Tinker Juarez on stand up climbing versus seated. Your heartrate while seated climing is an average of 10 beats slower and efficiency over distance is not just cumulative, but has an exponential effect where you're less fatigued at the same speed. I equate flats and clips to that, but with something in the range of 100,000 variables that can raise your heart beat once you throw in a trail.
