There are still plenty of purists who just don't want to ride an ebike, but still want an enduro bike. BUT, most 2020 enduro bikes ride just as good as a new one, AND, like mentioned before, a modular park/enduro bike makes more sense. RIP enduro.

I have never loved a bike more than my Madonna. I ride it everywhere and can't imagine much being better, BUT... I think my ideal three bike lineup would be a longer travel ebike (ONLY because I live in the Canadian Rockies and our climb trails are like, 10% grade), a single speed DH/park bike and a short travel down-country. And a gravel bike. And a DJ... Lol

The future of long travel enduro bikes is being modular and compatible with dual crown forks to double as park/DH bikes. It makes a ton of sense from a company and manufacturing perspective

Pretty popular here in western canada. And a blue trail here is like a double black pro line in california 😁 Long travel acoustic enduro bikes are definitely being replaced by long travel e-bikes, regardless of the rider's "hardcoreness" or the trail difficulty. It'd be a different story if there was a performance hit, but they tend to be faster descenders, in addition to being able to self shuttle back up the mountain. More laps, more performance. Hell, I ride my e-dreadnought at lift service bike parks just as often as I ride my acoustic dreadnought v2 or dh bike...

In the front range I'm seeing some orbeas show up, and in other forums people are seeing avinox bikes trickle in since august or so. Trickle being the operative word. Lots of delays worldwide.

Rampage may just have to die. It had a sick run, and it's upside is obviously incredibly rad, but the downsides are insane. Judging by the features the boys built and the mad sends we saw in the limited runs, had it proceeded, there's a really good chance that we would have seen another year marred by life-changing injuries. Again, it's had a good run, and it's really cool to see the progression over the years, but if this is Redbull Rampage's Group B Rally Car moment, it might be for the best. Nothing lasts forever, and they've miraculously made...

I think the judges probably got it right today. That said, I found Hannah to be more fun to watch. She was riding so fast, and the way she blended control with controlled chaos was super enjoyable. Overall, it was an excellent event. Here's hoping the mens' goes just as well and that nobody dies. I watched as much of today's event live as I could swing while balancing a reasonable volume of work. However, after last year, I think I'll opt to watch the mens' event on replay just in case.

I have a bullit and have the stock float x, the stock x2 and an avalanche tuned marzzochi bomber cr. Honestly there is very little difference between the three of them. Of the three, I prefer the air shocks as I feel the extra capability/planted nature of the bullit with the coil shock comes at too much of a trade-off in terms of maneuverability and ease of getting the bike to switch lines mid-corner or feature. The Bullit is a pretty typical Santacruz bike in that it packages moderate geometry (borderline conservative compared to current trends), with a chassis that...

I have a bullit. Put 4 rides into the float x performance. It was fine but got overwhelmed when things got fast and rough. I like a firm compression tune and that shock couldn't hang at speed. Put in an sv8. Yea, no more problems there. I did go a bit lighter on the spring than push'S calculator recommended. I...

Oh my gosh there are some negative Nancies in here. I’d rather pay even $22 and know it’s helping to pay athletes than throw money at WB and MAYBE get to see race runs that aren’t interrupted by literally anything else they think has higher ROI. I bet every single person reading this thread spends more than $11 every time they go to a coffee shop. That stupid (delicious) cardamom latte could help pay for high quality DH racing. I know I’ll be paying for this, come join me on the virtual couch.

I suspect it not Bullit vs Vala but that Santa Cruz specs cheap suspension until you get to eye-wateringly expensive builds. I knew this going in, but still. Bullit was the only 170-ish bike I could get my hands on last year with my desired geo and Bosch gen 5. It's not like the Bullit 90 is cheap. Transition and other brands do a much better job of speccing good suspension on the mid-tier builds. Too bad so many brands herd together with a jump from a 480 reach L to a 510 XL. Bullit with the non-adjustable Fox Float...
