I was listening to a road biking podcast recently. One of the guests on the podcast is currently a DS for a bigger team and used to be a world tour rider. One of the things that came up in discussion is how absolutely insane the new generation of riders are. They are SO fast. They are SO good in their training. Torrent is clean. Bottle rocket is adjustable freeride. Quake is a capable race geo. (Iirc) Different bikes for different folks . I freeride and park my race bikes - and xc ride my enduro bike. But the world does seem to want FUN 27.5 park bikes and the racers do seem to want FAST DH WEAPONS. Why can’t we have both? The marketing isn’t even for us. There are literally armies of 15 year old boys AND GIRLS! Getting really into modern freeride, just riding down shit and off shit and being park rats in jnco jeans where I live...

6/4/2026 7:10am The Torrent isn't for bike nerds. It's for people that set it and forget it and spend their day lapping A-Line and Dirt Merchant. And for that purpose, the Torrent sounds like a perfect bike. Simple, reliable (hopefully) and affordable.

5/7/2026 8:04am I think I've got an inch or two on Minnar and my XL Madonna is already longer than most people's dh bikes. Gondola's are getting close to being a challenge and travel bike bags are. My wheels drag on the ground after I've loaded my bike on a lift. Lol

4/28/2026 6:57am I'm not sure if this is an indication it's close to release, but Norco just posted pics of the dh bike ahead of Korea and it's got "Team DH" printed on the top tube. Would be cool (and make sense) if they went back to the Team DH name for the race bike.
