4/9/2026 7:18am Used to be a Meaty Paws guy, but the last few years I've been using the Sensus Emil slip on grips. They're kind of in between a regular grip and a Meaty Paw, but also softer than a lock on grip. Slip on grips are a bit more of a faff getting on/off, but I'm a big fan.

4/2/2026 11:05am Arc'teryx has entered the mtb space, because you know, there just aren't enough premium brands trying to sell $350 riding pants and $500 jackets. lol (For real, though, even though all of my Arc stuff is the best fitting stuff I have, 0/10 would not pay those prices for it. 4/2/2026 7:17am No insert guy here. I'm around 265ish and have been on WAO Strife (dh) rims on dh casing tires for the past three seasons and no rim failures and no flats. I'm a pretty smooth rider, but ride pretty hard and live in the rockies and terrain can be pretty unforgiving. If that ever changes, might look into them, but...

Coming from the PNW and never seeing running water on a long ride in SoCal has been a real adjustment, and it means I have to carry way more water on my person, or spend a lot of time looking at maps to figure out where all the stores and water fountains are, or both. I miss creeks. And shade. And overcast days. Don't ever leave. Stay there as long as you can, Cam. AS LONG AS YOU CAN.

3/19/2026 7:39am I wonder if he got to keep his WAO dh prototype bike? I know a couple people who would love to get their hands on one. Ha ha. The new TR11 looks pretty sick, though (just a stretched out version of the same design language across the rest of the line up).
