11/4/2025 12:47pm I can't imagine he'll have a tough time finding some kind of support. There is no stronger ambassador for mountain biking than Tippie.

11/4/2025 9:08am I've done the same (Dead Dog/Psychosis course) with my Lewis brakes and didn't have any issues at all. I just like shiny new things (literally and figuratively). Hope comes in silver/polished and just happen to be ridiculously powerful too. Lol

11/4/2025 6:28am Yeah. That is not enough info. Ha ha I ordered a set of GR4's on the weekend. Sounds like they'll be about a month or so until my shop gets them in (ordered all polished). I'm coming from a set of Lewis LH4's, which have been great, but I'm a big guy and always looking for more power. Super excited...

11/3/2025 10:52am ya, strange one if true. PFR should have been rebranded BK Lifestyle Racing a long time ago, as it seems the primary reason Bernard runs that team is to fund his own preferred lifestyle. A guy who's so close to consistent top 10s like Maples needs better I feel.

11/3/2025 10:21am I can't remember if it's been mentioned, but sounds like the Forbidden e-Dreadnought will be aluminum and they're also working on a short travel bike.

10/29/2025 1:39pm My two cents. I like watching “second tier” riders right along side the pointy end dudes. Especially when you get to see a rider develop over a few seasons. The rider that starts to qualify more regularly, then becomes a top 15-20 dude, then top 10, and finally a podium threat. I like to see this on the same courses as Loic and Jackson, it gives me scale. I love WC racing, I pay to watch. I am not going to suddenly start paying close attention to IXS Cups. I’ll look at the results of a Monster Energy Series race...

saskskier Added a reply to Pick your 3 favorite MTB brands?
10/29/2025 11:19am I think there is a big difference between my three favourite bike brands and three bike brands I would sell in my (hypothetical) shop. If I could have a crazy, boutique, high end shop that only catered to custom builds and it didn't matter whether or not I was making money, I'd sell RAAW, Frameworks and Atherton. I'd be niche...
saskskier Added a comment about video Why Do Racers Go Faster Without A Chain?
10/29/2025 7:01am
This is completely anecdotal, but we have a series of beer league dh races at our local trails and typically the most popular category is "chainless" and it's not uncommon for some of the fastest riders of the night to be chainless. Whether you're actually faster or not, the bike feels great without a chain. For science or just for fun, or you want to channel your inner Gwin or Remy Morton, I absolutely recommend taking the chain off every once and a while.

10/28/2025 9:02am We also don't have any idea whether or not that's all Yeti is contributing. Just because they made that public doesn't mean that's the extent of it. Same with Monster. Everyone is demanding to know how they're helping out. Red Bull doesn't post how much they spend on athlete injury expenses/rehab/etc when someone like Jackson or Finn or Gee or...

10/24/2025 7:06am So it looks like I blew my Telum in Whistler over closing weekend. Didn't leak oil or anything, and there was still a difference between climb and descend positions, but was super clunky and noisy at the top end. Still rode it through the weekend, but now it's in the shop getting serviced. I'll give an update when they can...

10/23/2025 12:27pm Six seems like an aggressive number, but I'm halfway there. Enduro, single speed hardtail, dirt jumper. If I had my way, I'd have a dh/park bike and live where it makes sense to have a fat bike (but definitely not my jam). Plus a gravel bike which I ride the most.

10/23/2025 10:37am I just want to say I completely disagree with every single point. A simple down vote wasn't enough. Just because you can't fathom what drives others, doesn't give you the right to demean them.

10/23/2025 8:32am No hate but I think this is a bit of an ignorant point of view. It is an extreme event we are debating so strong opinions on both sides are set to come out. I don't think a single one of those riders even considers fame or money when building their line. Their drivers are likely the rush of a complete run, the satisfaction of their line working, the high of adrenaline, their desire to push the sport and themselves and the goal of winning. There is not a single one who has an urge to mutilate themselves. Every rider...

10/21/2025 12:56pm That's competition. DH racers take risky lines knowing they are faster. If they don't take it, they risk losing time. Pressure, weighing risk/reward, and making those decisions is part of all competition. It is part of every sport, heck it is also part of daily life. Carson understood the risk/reward and made a decision not to pursue a second run. The risk wasn't worth it. Looked like Boggs did the same thing. That is part of the competition, just like at the races. Loic did the same thing at the World Cup Finals. These guys/gals are so incredibly calculated. There's...

10/21/2025 12:55pm Fair enough, but that strikes me as more frustration with inconsistent judging than issues with safety/terrain. While there were some crazy takes and definitely some inconsistency, I was less upset about scoring than in previous years. I feel like you could have reordered the top four and justified each of them, but some of the lower scores left me questioning...
