Fair enough, but that strikes me as more frustration with inconsistent judging than issues with safety/terrain. While there were some crazy takes and definitely some inconsistency, I was less upset about scoring than in previous years. I feel like you could have reordered the top four and justified each of them, but some of the lower scores left me questioning...

I disagree. Rampage has been around longer than social media. These guys have been throwing themselves cliffs before social media was a thing, and still be throwing themselves off cliffs even if it hadn't become a thing. Injuries have always been a thing, whether they are small, significant or life altering, but the fact of the matter is there HAVEN'T...

The only really practical case I could see for swapping back and forth would be if you mostly raced dh and rode park in the summer and if you lived somewhere where you could train and do more pedaling in the off season. Sea to sky kind of situation, were you ride Whistler park all summer, but then ride Squamish...
I bought my Slayer A50 in 2020 JUST before Covid came along and blew everything up. After taxes, it was just over $5k cdn and came with RS Ultimate suspension (SD coil and Lyric) XT/SLX groupset with RaceFace cranks. The only real weakness were wheels, but otherwise it was a pretty insane value. I think the following year the price...

I’m sorry, but Daprela doesn’t ‘deserve’ anything. Racing at a World Cup level is a privilege not a right. It’s beyond just being fast, you also need to have certain aspects of professionalism and be enjoyable to be around. Regardless of what actually happened in the ‘incident’, his continued behavior in the aftermath is uncouth and any team should be hesitant for that alone.

Pretty much regardless of model and trim, if you're buying a car, you can choose interior and exterior colours and trim, wheels, engine, and extras. Why don't more bike companies do that (especially the big ones), or is it just a scale thing? Or "that sounds hard and we don't want to because we're greedy bastards" thing (especially the big...

I mean, I don't think any of the women are doing tailwhips or barspins at Rampage. Not a knock against them, but I'm not sure I'd be running a single crown if I wasn't throwing those tricks.

Loic has made some posts on socials. Short version was that he was in the medic tent for the podium, straight to the hospital and stayed the night. Caught the first flight he could back home and made it in time for the birth of his son. Congrats papa.

There is a new, lift accessed bike park that's going to be opening in Alberta in the next couple of years. I'm pretty sure their entire trail system is going to be starting from scratch, just because there isn't really a trail network in the area. This is contrast to somewhere like Revelstoke, where there were already a bunch of...

I was in Morzine/area for two weeks this summer and the number of non-riders who were still all over the mountain was quite striking vs in Canada. I'm sure part of that is population density, but I also think the way the lifts and towns and restaurants, etc are laid out make a big difference. While some ski resorts/bike parks...

Lou tried pretty hard to get Wyn to admit he's UCI Gary, but he's insisting it's not. Either way, hilarious stuff.

Based on dual crown compatible, Fest series, park lap, Rampage, freeride kinda riding from Nico Vink, Hannah B, Talus, and Jaxson, I have a hard time believing it's still a 150mm trail bike...
