Thanks Digby! Austin here… I cleared up what the Aaron Gwin joke is about on the podcast but I should do it here as well. Kasen made a joke on one of our first podcasts, saying that I said Aaron is washed up, just to ruffle some feathers. He said “just kidding, I’m just getting us views”. Then everyone on earth kept coming up to me giving me shit for thinking Gwin is washed up which really fueled Kasen’s fire to keep the joke going. The feeling we all know to well. Being emotionally wrecked over the culmination of months of excitement to race only to have it all explode like a glittery fart bomb in our faces left with nothing to hold onto, a bad taste in our mouth & no 2nd race in 30 minutes to erase the negatives and go for something positive. Just time to simmer, scratch our head and hope for 3 more minutes of perfection somewhere down the line.

It’s definitely rideable and he definitely was ripping. I bit off more than I could chew trying to follow and from what I could see, it looked planted and didn’t make crazy noises. I’m impressed.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to these fine gentleman converse. Pretty interesting to hear the US perspective on dh racing atm. What sad times are these when passing ruffians can't even rip dh laps in Colorado!

I hung out with him years ago in Santa Cruz. Rode in Freedom and shuttled Juggs. He rode our most technical jump and bridge filled trail first try after just walking up it. Hope you're running all six rotor bolts nowadays!
