This wireless drivetrain debate is silly, when your new bike comes with transmission (which it likely will) I very much doubt you will be clamoring to get something cable actuated.

Awesome video, but so frustrating. It's pathetic what the UCI and its partners are doing to DH and right before our very eyes. Privateers are the life blood to the European Cup and soon they are just going to have Loic racing himself 5 times a year on his home trails in France.

Such a crappy situation. I'm fine changing the schedule if you absolutely have to, but it's pretty merciless treatment to punish someone for showing up on time. No exceptions for the little guy? No grace? The UCI sucks.

Digbyyyyyy! I really wish we were joking, it would be way more fun. It is definitely too much with the schedule changes and now disappointing cancellation. This absolutely effects privateers. Every rep you get at a World Cup is super valuable. Not to mention expensive. See Andrew Driscolls post: https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/cost-racing-world-cup-downhill-europe…
I thought you were joking on the instagram post, that is seriously demoralizing to hear. I don’t like the way they are so casually shifting the schedules these past two races and I’m sure other privateers have been seriously effected too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bodie is shedding tears over missing out on this track 🥲 When was the last time the UCI delayed or pushed forward schedules at a World Cup that wasn’t directly due to a thunderstorm or lift malfunction forcing things to close? I sure hope the top riders/rider union gave them hell for attempting to...

i get it for sure, and it's a pipe dream to think big teams/brands/riders would avoid world cup. also no argument that crankworx tracks aren't terribly exciting, too. it would just be nice to stick it to the pocketbooks of those in charge by having everyone go race where they're welcomed. DH isn't road. it's not even XC. the audience and market is minuscule, it's generally scrappy and fringe by nature, and it will never be F1 with a series on netflix or tens of millions of people tuning in. i don't call this outlook pessimism, i call it reality...

It's almost like you do 90% of your tire-weighting through your feet, not through your hands.
