12/29/2023 9:48am Too bad WB/D is too out of touch to know what a threat this could be to their product. Not this year, but if this gains momentum we could see the relevance of the World Cup fade.

12/29/2023 9:47am Seriously incredible news, and to hear this is title sponsored by a massive, somewhat outside the industry company is even better news! I’m stoked to see where they take it. I hope it turns into a multi event weekend style thing, with XC, DH and maybe some slalom/pump track so we can have a now a days NORBA!

12/29/2023 9:47am Throw in a NW Cup, DH Rockies, and BMDH round and we'll have ourselves the world's most diverse DH series (terrain wise). SoCal dust, East Coast grease, the high alpine Rockies, and PNW loam in a single series?!

12/29/2023 9:44am here are results from that insta poll we did. metaZuckerberg said 7k participated, so pretty good data. the saddest part is that 20% of vital mtb insta followers don't watch live world cup dh racing. tragic. hopefully WBD lawyers don't come after the poachers LOL.

12/29/2023 9:38am re: canyon (and possibly other big brands)? it's an XC olympic year. could the big dumps and a brand like canyon be for XC talent at the olympic level? i have no insight or idea, but have to imagine olympics are at the forefront of budget talks for brands w/ an xc bike. re: danny - as mentioned above, he has a very solid social and youtube presence. to say he's "kinda invisible" speaks to the way the system works IMO. he's not an over-the-top personality on camera or vlogger with click-baity/controversial subject matter, so he's not recommended by the...

12/28/2023 10:56am John is a smart man... sees the writing on the wall... Gwin likely racing only 1-2 more seasons. He's in a 'real' job role at Intense (product development). He lives in California, 3,000 miles away from his racer. I'd not be surprised at all if he took a full-time gig at Intense and stopped doing world cups with Gwin. That said, if Gwin is doing his own team with Intense frames, I could see John keeping his full time position at Intense and ALSO go on the road to the 7 world cups and world champs to wrench for Aaron...

12/28/2023 10:52am Wouldn’t be surprised to see Gwin and John Hall going their separate ways. Gwin on a new bike and based in Windrock full time. John staying on in a formal role at Intense in California. Edit: but I’d personally love to see Gwin hang around and get a win on that intense.

12/28/2023 10:48am Probably just got a good deal on a bike. A lot of "sponsored" riders don't actually get paid at all.

12/28/2023 10:44am I’m all for paying racers good money but if all you sponsor are racers you’re missing out on a huge portion of the riding market. Most of riders don’t care that much about racing.

12/28/2023 9:08am Neko, Asa, mystery rider, Anxo, Logan, probably one other mechanic/support person. At a minimum average of $50k salary per person per year you’re already at $300k. Then Martin Whiteley’s management cost ($25-50k). Add on travel (bare minimum $5k per race per person, so $25-30k per race x 8 WC races, then domestic races. There’s another $300k at a minimum. Tack on insurance, taxes and other stuff. So $600k on a tight budget, and the whole reason riders get Martin Whiteley involved is so they aren’t on a shoestring budget. I sure hope Neko’s salary is at least $150k though. Hence...

12/25/2023 1:57pm Neko is like the guy that had the vision quest, and the quest turned prophetic. Amazing that being open and honest, showing passion and hard work culminate in success. However this team turns out, how couldn't you root for frameworks? At a time when companies are closing doors and shutting down support, Frameworks is growing.

12/24/2023 6:15am 250.000K for funding a full season seems pretty reasonable to me. From food, to flight tickets, hotels, stuff and UCI team registering. To be honest, I think that is quite reasonable. And if it is for 2 people it might not be enough. If you calculaze out the taxes at an average of 18% you can only spend 210000. And you have to pay for health insurance, salary and taxes on income. And you should not forget that a professional needs to make more money as a normal working person because there is no regular carreer pat and you normaly...

12/23/2023 6:45am Really interested to see how juinor mens world cup dh plays out next year, originally would have just been thinking it to be primarily dominated by asa but with Tyler waite from nz riding the yeti dh bike and presumably getting support from yeti at world cups next year, we might have another goldstone vs williams situation
