North shore bike park has moved into the old Air Rec site and is planning to reopen this fall.

Following on from this, the Cone Valve parts are literally just a different architecture for the HSC circuit plugged into an existing DVO damper. These pics are straight from the fork service manual, the two lower ones are showing the entire Cone Valve assembly once it's removed from the fork damper.

I think the chassis was unchanged, that the differences were in the piston/shim/cone-valve parts and the knobs were anodized red. You could view it as a very custom tune. Those damper parts are CNC machined whether you follow the existing DVO design or make the cone-valve parts. Making new CNC parts just means you start with a different program on the CNC. Designing and tuning those parts might've been little more than a fun distraction for WP's damper design/tuning guy if he was tinkering with his own ebike prototype.

Well just wanted to share some results on some tire durometer measurements that I have collected of some of the more popular tires in my collection. Method: All tires were measured while sitting on a flat plate of steel to provide equal and consistent backing support. Nothing was measured mounted. I measured the Maxxis brand new out of the box and again after this weekend's Boondocks race at NorthStar, no change was detectable in the results, so I just added the miles that I was at after measuring yesterday. All measurements were an average of 3. The hysteresis of the...

Want your childhood ruined? Here's a promotional video of Sam Hill riding MTB trails on a Bonnell. From a purely semantic point of view these are not E-MTBs that are also E-Motos, they are just e-motos. When the Surron Light Bee was originally released in Canada at least it came with a pedal kit installed so you could pretend it...

Read the interview and understand the reasoning. My (slight) disappointment has nothing to do with the current political stuff. I'd be sad to see a Canadian company fall under outside ownership, regardless of what's happening on the international stage. Also, Tim Hortons is garbage coffee and has always been garbage coffee. Support local roasters who work with and buy from small farms. Quality > quantity for bikes and for coffee. Lol.

MTB-adjacent news; the Warner Bros/Discovery Omincorp/financial dumpster fire that currently holds the rights to the UCI World Cup Broadcasts is being unpicked at great speed. Hopefully this makes watching World Cup broadcasts even more of a confusing and expensive endeavour, as seems to be the grand plan going forward.
Thanks for the scrolling format. I love the nerdery, but always give up on having to swipe through.

That's absolutely fvcking hilarious, so you can buy a new T70 for $125, and then buy this kit for $550, coming to a total of $675 and you had to wreck a perfectly good derailleur or you can pay full MSRP of $650 USD for the complete GX derailleur(400), shifter pod (150), battery (60) and charger (40) and save $25 OR you could buy an ENTIRE Shimano Deore 12spd groupo for like $270 USD and have absolutely amazing shifting that can be easily serviced/fix if anything happens trailside and no batteries to forget to charge 🥴

There's a really good section in Earthed 5 of Sam Hill pursuing and smashing the 1:04 time. Back in the Iron Horse days. Nigel tries to follow him with a big ole helmet cam and there's a few sections where Hill just drops him. Earthed 5: Sam Hill on the 1:04
