I know those have some actual heft to them but the fact they are stick-on is giving me flashbacks to when some pros were running those anti-vibration "crystals" aka stickers on their bikes.

DHR2 for sure rolls faster then an assegai or hr3. The maxx grip dhr2 as a front tire does many of the same things well that the hr3 does well, to a slightly lesser extent and a faster rolling feel. I know it sounds crazy, but the 2.4 mg dhr2 is a slept on front tire for a 150ish trail bike. Now that the g2 dissector is out and available in mg... it would be tough to make a case for the dhr2 as a front, but if you're committing to side knobs well, the dhr2 will bite better once...

So, having just completed the lowest-attended Whistler Crankworx slopestyle in memory, with no title sponsor, a less dialled course with fewer features and a women's field with 3 riders how do we think the goal of securing a sustainable future for slopestyle has played out?

If you are going to ride the bike park and the option for a DH bike exists whether it is renting it or bringing your own, go with the DH bike. Even if you've never ridden a DH bike and think "oh, I don't know if I need a DH bike, maybe I'm not fast enough for a DH bike...

Thinking about this today but surely Jill Kintner deserves a little more than just a 'oh she won for the tenth year in a row' in the press release for winning air DH ten freaking years in a row? Rename the women's Air DH the Kintner Air DH, retire the number one plate from Air DH and put it up...

Maxxis are the undisputed kings of SKU-creep and the DHF has been racking up SKUs for decades. We'll all be on 36" wheels by the time they finally shift the last one. They still have the HR2 and the old Dissector listed on the international site.

He likes it. His speed on that rock section at the top of Dark Crystal in the pouring rain is mind blowing. I know pro rider and yada yada but I can't ride it that fast when it's bone dry.

I have a few rides on the Specialized tires, Butcher Front / Eliminator rear on my 170mm bike from blown out dry to hero dirt in the backcountry (not purpose built or bike park). I also have a tacky chan + roamy in trail casing on my 130mm bike so have experience with radial. Main takeaways so far Improved grip over Conti DH (SS front, S rear) - Better braking right away was noticable, its like I added 15% braking power.
