Yep...just saw that on his Instagram. Was hoping it wasn't the "something" part of my above post. Hopefully he's solid for finals. If so, he should be camping in the hot-seat for a spell.

johan (iceman) said there was a biblical downpour just after qualifying wrapped up, but it's supposed to be dry for race day. early practice may be slippery. i'm with you though, i hope the conditions are consistent for everyone.

I wonder if MacDonald is playing the weather card for finals or if he had a flat or something in the last segment. His splits were in-or-around the top-20 and he finished 73rd. Hopefully they all get the same track as opposed to Lourdes...my fingers are crossed but I'm not going to hold my breath!

I think that all mountain bikers should look at wheel size, like golf clubs. There is now good match for different track conditions & fetures. Super Ruff 29 Middle ground 27 Super tight and technical 26 Wheal radious will gain benefit based in the trail conditions & features. just need a bike cadey now.. Sir your 26R

no worries. b/c these are face-to-face, we're limited to who we can interview. we've talked about a non-face-to-face format but the audio quality and the conversation quality is just different when you're not sitting together. i'm hoping at crankworx this summer we can diversify the line-up a little bit.

so track-side news is lots of crashes. sam hill twice and apparently a bomb-hole that was filled in w/ rocks that caught riders out, sending them OTB. not too sure how much this impacted results but seems like possibly. still, those who didn't crash are on top and that's racing. wyn not in, dale not in, mudd not in...a lot of tough results.
