I would expect a warning or reprimand from someone at the start hut. If there was a problem, they apparently got over it and let him take his run. Why does the guy at the bottom have to nearly come unglued? You put up good money to race at National Champs and shouldn't have to walk on egg shells everywhere and get treated like this. Imagine the roller coaster Finn Jr. just went on; he has an awesome run, (unofficially) wins, then immediately chewed out by an official...and DQ'd. Unreal. I'd be pretty sour on paying another dime to USAC.

And the YT Team video should drop in 3...2...1... That was an amazing race - it was like Hart heard Rob Warner ask if this was going to be his 5th second-place at a WC, because he was full-gas from that moment on.

Nope. Peaty is the greatest human to ride a DH bike ever. And by human, I mean the guy who has been at the pinnacle of the sport his whole life, all while partying harder than any other rider to date and yet at the same time being responsible for mentoring almost 2 full generations of riders and racers, fundraising, filming, and last but not least promoting the sport itself through events, sponsorships, started grassroots teams...you name it. Anything you can do FOR the sport of downhill, he's done it. GM has the race wins total, but Peaty is knighted.

Awesome coverage as always! If I'm not mistaken, the slideshow is usually uploaded the morning after the race, I see someone must have stayed up late while the party was going on. Cheers for that!
