Okay, two of you ( you know who you are) make it very clear from your comments that you like to sound intelligent, but not enough to learn enough grammar to form a coherent thought. This is fun, this is awesome, this gives people confidence in these wheels and for very good reason. If all you want is hardcore science and seriousness, maybe mountain biking isn't the sport for you.

It proves how much the rim can withstand i fail to see how thats not obvious. It proves the type of beating a rim can take. Does your brain function normally?

I agree entirely. Several years ago Sram or Shimano was personal preference, I preferred Shimano. However, comparing current product lines and technologies being employed I think Sram is way ahead of where Shimano is at. Take for instance the way Sram redesigned their derailleur cages, or the tooth profile of their chainrings... Not to mention brakes. I used to love Shimano brakes, but their production standards and quality control have tanked in recent years.

And that image is getting downloaded so I never have to pay someone else a hundred bucks to take an exacto to a camping matress.... They're going with a thick sheet of closed cell compared to the Huck Norris.

So much marketing BS. Not content with current options? More like Giant decided they wanted some of that 510 shoe money. All the terms, technologies, claims of superior materials and performance...none of it's true. Also, no stitching to attach the sole, I see them falling apart after not too long.

loganm2977 Added a comment about bike check Specialized demo 8 650B Custom

No, the demo used to be like that. A few years ago they switched over to the current linkage design, mainly to lighten the frame and move the COG lower. If you compare the two the major differences are the chainstay (it got turned into a standard yoke, rather than a miniature rear triangle) and where the chainstay pivots from. Everything else in the suspension linkage moved closer to the ground, and they made the front triangle to have a one sided a-symmetrical seat stay. Articles on the topic abound,
