if you drop it to 30 riders you cant have protected riders IMO. imagine this, your a young Aussie/Kiwi, you save up hard for 2 years to live the dream in a Ford Transit van and eating nothing but Service station food and drinking cheap Czech beer for 4 months of summer. 36lbs is VERY normal for a properly equipped enduro bike. The lighter ones have parts that wont hold up (especially tires) and are expensive builds (most riders can't all afford high end cassettes and wheels that save weight). For most people, this is the actual weight of an enduro bike.

I'd put that top out bumper back in. It's a mechanical top out stop- I worry your fork could over-extend and pull the stanchions above the lower bushing (that would be very bad).

Generalizing everyone that has ridden an eMTB "E-MTBers act like they the exception to the rules"....is bullshit. As I say in every trail meeting i've been to when this is brought up, we have always had 'an asshole' problem, it existed before electrics. This problem exists in skate, snow, surf, tennis, golf, etc.....not everyone is a cool law abiding person. So theres that. Oh, and your analogy about the bikes being heavier causing more damage-is funny. So-I am 140lbs, am I supposed to call anyone 160lbs and up a 'trail terrorizer'? Your last comment about EMTBers being rich, not working...

Not to distract from the core of the conversation here, but this is something I wanted to bring up. One thing that really surprised me while recently working in a bike shop for a brief bit, is how much waste comes with packaging. It's interesting/shocking to see bike companies put so much focus on packaging components when 95% of the time, they go straight to the trash. I see all these Sram, Shimano, and countless other brands use color and ink intensive packages, extra plastic to wrap components, and tons of paper for manuals, (when most of the time, we...
