NoahColorado Added a comment about feature Vital Test Sessions - Trek Slash 9.9 X0 AXS T-Type

Thanks for posting the note about proper setup of that guide. In addition to fixing the spacing, Slash owners should rotate the guide clockwise so that it's increasing chainwrap on the chainring and countering chain growth. The former for better chain retention, and the latter for the overall performance of the Transmission system. A gap of 10-24mm from the bottom of the chainstay to the top of the roller, depending on frame size and drivetrain, is what we advise.

Nah dude. It just isn't funny. Neither the original post or your response. Saying as much isn't being "woke", and the need to bring up being anti-"woke" every time the majority of reasonable people deem something inane is the most unintentionally ironic "snowflake" behavior. I know you don't want to be a snowflake. Back to rumors please. Kade to join Deathgrip on the ultimate free-racer squad.

NoahColorado Added a comment about press release Wolf Tooth Shares New ReMote 360 Dropper Lever

Yeah, had this at least 15 years ago. CB licensed the Maverick Speedball design in 2008, and I had Maverick posts before that. Functioned well, but got pretty floppy as the cable stretched. Also snapped a lot of cables. Surely Wolftooth has addressed these, they're pretty dialed.

I love Mavic and I even like their newer wheels. But... the people who wrote the ”historic” brochure above have no clue about anything. They write that ”boost” was introduced in 2006 and it's 12x150 mm. )) Nothing more to add, except the fact that Boost appeared in 2015 and it's 12x148 mm, right? :D

Good thought, but the MXg features more of a pulley/roller hybrid with very small teeth. They're only there to give some traction and prevent the chain from dragging across the top of the roller. We experimented with toothed pulleys and toothless rollers and found this design to be the best of both worlds – especially when it came to friction and noise, elements we were trying to minimize. Traditional pulley teeth provide lateral security (side-to-side) for the chain. Lateral security here is provided by the walls of this design – the chain sits in a pretty deep channel. But critical...

For what it’s worth I run an MXG on my gt force high pivot (not sure what spacers I’m running between it and the frame) and I haven’t had a single issue since putting it on, and it noticeably reduced chain slap and drag compared to the g5 sl it replaced. Think it may have more to do with treks placement/sizing of the pulley wheel.

I skipped class senior year to drive to CA with Dak to help him build a line for his welcome to Devinci edit. As a kid from MI that was super into DH, going out west and meeting a bunch of US pros and riding all these spots I'd seen online blew my mind. Even ran into AG and JH at a shuttle spot. It was before him and Dak really knew each other much and they just kinda said hey. Lots of funny stories from that trip. Shout out to Dak for always being rad, that trip really inspired...

Rough. Bryn and Jill always made time for me and I never wrote them checks. I know Bryn was a bit aggro when he was younger (very Kovarik-esque) and it took a lot to tame him, but he always seemed like a nice guy. Not Mik Hannah nice, but nice nonetheless. Honestly, I can easily say the same thing about Spez reps and employees at Spez shops, and I worked for them. Sheesh. worst experience, ever. but I digress.

Yes, the MXg guide should have been installed with 7mm of spacers between the backplate and ISCG tabs. I haven't seen any assembled like that out of the box, only with 1 or 2mm of spacers missing. That's been the only anomaly discovered so far as we dig into why our development testing results and these field reports are so different. Seems like a small thing, but I've ridden this bike extensively and never once had the chain drop. Hopefully that's the culprit and the fix, but we're (MRP) doing more testing to verify something else isn't at play. FWIW...

I ran into Emily Batty filming some stuff in Sedona once. As I approached, I jokingly yelled "Strava!" and I'm pretty sure they thought I was serious. I've never recovered.

If you’re wanting to use frame building to get a job in the bike industry- document the process a little bit. Start with a problem, timeline, budget etc that you want to solve- Ie design an enduro bike with features x, y and z, done in 1 year costing $1000 or less. Something unique that is not available already always helps. You want to not only show a company your capable of designing and building a frame but also planning ahead, some project management skill etc. I did similar 15 years ago and it definitely helps get you noticed. Also...

While it seems like every other company is trying its best to make their regular bikes and e-bikes as indistinguishable as possible, Lapierre said "Nah, F-that, let's make it looks like a Transformer!"

I hear what you're saying, but go take a look at the injection-molded backside of Richie's bashguard that you can see in the non-drive pic. If you dremeled off enough material to get rid of the MRP logo you would have dremeled away the entire bashguard in the process. I think that's what Noah is referring to.
