7/25/2025 11:22am I don't like elbow pads, but I had a huge gash in my arm so I kinda had to try some to protect the stitches. I've got arm pump before from them which had put my off. Anyways, raceface indy's have been mint. They're very minimalist, they've saved some skin so they definitely work. No arm pump and they don't slip down. They have a velcro upper which I don't use either. They're so good I've kept wearing them despite my aforementioned wound healing. I think I sized xl in them, man's not skinny in the arms (or anywhere 🤣)...

7/25/2025 11:22am OK, so this is meant to be equal parts rant and looking for serious recommendations. I'm one of those people who wear knee pads every ride, don't often need them but am always glad I had them on when I do. There's a lot of decent knee pads now that you can pedal for hours in, don't slide down, and will take a hit. Having taken some pretty ugly scrapes and 1 case of bursitis in the elbow, I'd like to have the option of wearing elbow pads on spicy rides. But every single elbow pad I've tried (probably several...

7/25/2025 11:22am After eating crap on probably one of the dumbest slow speed falls I've ever managed to accomplish and in the process gashed my elbow pretty badly, good bone bruise as well, I started wearing elbow pads last year. I started off with the RaceFace Ambush which for me turned into one of the worst pads I've ever worn, I was getting pain on the tip of my elbow from rubbing the inside of the D30 which has no fabric or anything to cover it and protect your skin. I actually got bruising on both elbows just by wearing them for...

5/15/2025 11:03am Haha thanks for the reply! Not sure what inspired me to actually leave that comment instead of just moving on. You guys do a great job with these shootouts in general, including this one, I just haven't had a good experience with the DMR's. Since we're here, why don't the composites work well in the wet? Pins aside, I would expect them to have better grip than the polished surface of, say, a DMR, no?

5/15/2025 11:02am Why does DMR continue to win these shootouts? I'll just say it....DMR pedals are garbage and I've got no fewer than 3 clapped out sets to prove it. They cost a fortune and only last for only a couple weeks before they start feeling/sounding terrible. Composite pedals from OneUp or PNW feel better, last longer and cost a fraction of the price of any pedal in this shootout.

5/15/2025 10:59am I purchased the Newmen Beskar's months ago based on reading through these reviews. One of the primary things I was looking for was a pin that could be removed after being smashed and bent from the side they are on, and these fit the bill with also several other good attributes and a world class weight. I've owned lots of flat pedals and due to our constant rocks and ledges combined with my rather poor pedal timing as I'm someone who destroys pedals with regularity. My previous set of pedals were OneUps composites and a single ride would commonly see...

5/14/2025 12:10pm Well Aaron did win the little old Monster DH race this Sunday as well. Was kicking it all weekend and shared a great line choice with me after the win.

5/13/2025 4:16pm There was also a couple shots of the Ohlins shock in there with a view to see more of what they have going on. Electric valve on the HSC circuit. Maybe we are getting close to them sharing the info on it.

5/13/2025 4:15pm Well, the master cylinder has a similar enough silhouette to some of the TRP's but that seems to be where the similarities end. The styling is unique enough when you look closely. Caliper is definitely different. Interesting bleed port placement
