In June I did a lap in Leogang with Iago Garay on the same new bike that Ella was running, and it looked very production ready. Seems like all the 130 or 140mm bikes (like this Cannondale Habit) are now 150mm bikes, and the 160 bikes are now 170 and poised to get the axe in the lineup (like the rumors about the end of the Megatower). In a related story, Iago was freaking pinned.

Realistically, 160/170 bikes are over kill for most people, me included even if it's all I've run the last 8 years and i think that's finally filtering through on the production end. The rumors of the Enduro, Megatower and others on the chopping block to make sense on the money end. I do think a lot of people, in my...

It all comes down to policy. Removing the gold standard isn’t an issue in itself. An independent fed is a good thing. Simply there has been a total failure in leadership since the 90s on both sides of the aisle. When Clinton left office we were on a path to completely eliminate our national debt by the late 2000s. Since then we have continually increased our costs (some good, some bad) while cutting taxes across the board. But the shift (or realistically return) of the government supporting business over normal folk started much earlier. When Eisenhower was president taxes on...

Omg, you can see my brake hoses, how embarrassing.... I'm guessing this is more for the road side of things, but imagine going through a super tech steep or flying down a hill towards an intersection and both your brakes unpair, then this progressive brake systems that you cannot control kicks in at the wrong time. Now not only can...

Guys, don't worry, Alan Greenspan told me that markets always work things out and they arrive at optimal output, consumption, and employment on their own. We live in the best of all possible worlds!

only thing 2026 seems like it will be good for is... This thread. EDIT: so i saw a conversation pop up on reddit, and I thought it was pretty compelling although could be waved away by obvious timing buuut I'm seeing a lot of sold out everywhere I look, even a bit before black friday. And DEF now after black friday. So the question is... Are we on the 'other side' of the inventory dump? In regards to brands setting up these orders at least a year in advance if not more. And like brands still selling through the same...

Geelong person here, since have relocated to Whistler 12 years ago so I’m out of the loop on whats new. You yangs is your closest spot, fun for what it is but mostly xc, some enduro stuff that we used to race dh back in the day. Mount Buller, 4-5hr away, is reopening its chairlift for the first time in years this summer I’ve heard, really fun trails to pedal in the area too. Bright has a cool scene with Mystic bike park, it’s also towards the mt buller way. There’s a few places in that zone you could link...

its worth a trip to Bright and the Victorian High Country, heaps of amazing trails. Theres Bright, Falls Creek, Omeo and all have everything from greens to double blacks. Flow to Tech. Other than tasmania, its the best riding in Australia.

What's the eye to eye on the shock? Fox still makes the DPS in a variety of sizes to fix legacy bikes and I've had good luck finding modern options even for late 90's bikes. Otherwise, getting it serviced would work out well if you can find somewhere that has the ability would be great. Is that one a cane...
