Sam Gale...if you read this. No joke. We lost an incredible human being & a joyous downhiller to a similar injury at the Snowshoe NORBA National. He get an infection from a football sized gape in the back of his thigh/butt from a stump. Took 6 months of reinfection for it to get into his heart & take him from us far too soon. Jack Daub you are missed my friend! ❤️

Anyone up for "Awkward Silence w/ Guest Announcer"? "Massive Interviewer Hat" ??? Need something to do with absurd sightings on course or in the finish corral/background. Carlson reads the forums & will cheat the game if we toss too many phrases. Wouldn't put it past him to throw every single catch phrase at the very first run. 🤣

Agreed. Would be ok for Ken for a rider or two but kicking the only person who’s been liked on the broadcast for someone who has very little insight on the race is a terrible call.

I think it speaks to just how complex the tracks across the world are & how truly diverse the skill set of World Cup racers really is. One week you are 59th in qualifying because the track, distance, sprints, elevation, terrain, soil type don't sync up to the exact combination of skills & health & bike a particular rider has. Next week, you rip 6 seconds out of the entire field like Hemstreet between a group of splits. The diversity & technicality of downhill is unmatched. It's not even a randomness. 60-80 guys and no such thing as the same...
